"...someone from my past would happily reenter my life"

I got to thinking about that, & I can't honestly think of who this person could be. I"m not sure that anyone from my past could "happily" reenter my life; no ex, that's for sure.

So then I started thinking it must be a relative. My Mother wants to come to Hawaii but the only way I see that probable is if my Step-Father who is ill, passed away and that wouldn't be very "happy". My brothers have their own thing going on on the mainland so I doubt it's one of them.

I guess I'm starting to loose faith in fortune cookies. I know how sacrilegious that must sound for some of you. I just don't know what to believe anymore

Keep in mind that there is a 3 day limit on Fortune Cookie predictions, so... if "they" don't re-enter your life in the time (3 days) allowed, said Cookie prediction is Void!.

I've been hanging on to the "good" fortunes from those cookies for years...I'm actually staring to see them materialize one by one.

Crazy but true.

Oddly enough, they were never Chinese to begin with. They came from Japan in the 1800s.

"As far back as the 19th century, a cookie very similar in appearance to the American Fortune cookie was made in Kyoto, Japan, and there is a Japanese temple tradition of random fortunes, called omikuji. The Japanese version of the cookie differs in several ways: they are a little bit larger; are made of darker dough; and their batter contains sesame and miso rather than vanilla and butter. They contain a fortune; however, the small slip of paper was wedged into the bend of the cookie rather than placed inside the hollow portion. This kind of cookies are called 辻占煎餅 Tsujiura Senbei and still be sold at some regions in Japan.

Most of the people who claim to have introduced the cookie to the United States are Japanese, so the theory is that these bakers were modifying a cookie design which they were aware of from their days in Japan."
