In relationships, the term baggage seems to have a bad rep. When people mention they are looking for a relationship, they usually add that they are not interested in anyone with baggage or an excess of it.

When I think of baggage, I see life experiences (a mind-set, life circumstances, or values), that mold a person into what and who they are.

Not having, so called “baggage” in ones life would seem as if that person never had any life experiences. Could you date someone that had no baggage at all?

Choose someone that knows how to find joy in the intangible things in life. They store their hopes, dreams, aspirations, love, tolerance, justice, and beauty in suitcases or trunks. And are willing to share their inner self with you.

They are able to take the good with the bad, and the bitter with the sweet.

And that is just fine with me.

I say, baggage can be a good thing. Show off your inner steamer trunk!

I'm proud of my luggage I mean baggage - well except when I snap at my new lover and call her by the wrong name lol

Fresh wounds may present a challenge, but life experience is more valuable than gold I wouldn't take any of it back.

Never said it had to be carried......

Having baggage is one thing.

Expecting someone else to carry it for ya is quite another.

To me the term baggage, has to do with negitive experiences. While people tend to learn thigs best the hard way, some of us allow our most troublesome relationships from our pasts to affect, and in some cases do severe damage to our current relationships.
