What would you like the forums here on Mingle to look like? I have been a member of Mingle for a few years and have seen some dear friends come and go. Even took a year off myself. I find the 'community' feel is not so prevalent as it used to be. But then unless you were here back then, you wouldn't know the difference. So what type of threads do you find you gravitate to? Just curious ........

Not that you see many, but the ones where people talk about real life stuff, intelligent conversations. There are alot of good conversations here yet sometimes the sidetracking gets real silly and I've been a culprit.

I would like the forums here to look like the ones that are orchestrated by you, that is to say - thought provoking, current, balanced and fair.

Well I like that there is a little bit of everything here. The forums here are MUCH better than other dating sites I've seen. I like that they are moderated and people can't attack each other or just curse up a storm. I also like how you can block certain forums you're not interested in viewing. I would like to be able to block certain people so I don't see their postings but besides that I think the forums here are better than most.

I like all kinds of threads. I stay away from the "I'm bored" kind of threads, though. The forums may be a bit quieter these days, but still decent.

I like the ones that are thought provoking and ask the real questions. The ones that are designed to help others with the answers that they are seeking.

How about blocking the person, but not the person's idea? Would this be okay? If not, why?

Actually the Forums seem to go in cycles at times you will find the the Forums full of Threads that are created and mind provoking. Then at other times they will be just a bunch of off the world questions. At other times they will be depressing and seem that all the threads you read are based all on being negative. As time goes on finally it will be where you will see several threads that are positive then it may be a bit where it all seems good and fun again....
Or we will have someone come in and stir all the Forums up before they get banned.............  Then the Cycle starts all over again................  Is is Life and the way the Forums are..............so all you have to do is wait around you will be here to experience the way it all happens........  Aww or you can be part of the ones that post these mind provoking threads that seem to get everyone's attention and posting again... Hummmm I tend to post to those threads that are calm, enjoyable to read and post your thoughts on and have fun from time to time...... I try to stay away from the negative ones or those that end up the point gets lost... |

Yeah Fade... some of the magic has gone away. Of course I'm not on here like I used to be. Maybe you have to be on here regularly. Still, this is still a great place on the web.

I tend to go to the fun and funny threads.....I for the most part stay away from the drama~trama stuff, ie Politics, Religion, the real narsty sex threads, but the inuendo type ones, I play in.
Not much into the loooooooong diatribe, talk--talk--talk ones, but to each their own.. |

The one i miss most is the "do u hump your bed?" thread!!!!! It was thought provoking, insightful and DAMNED helpfull in picking out a new bed!!!!! It made U look at beds in a WHOLE new "differrent " light!
