What turns you "on" or "off" when it comes to how people approach you? How do you feel about "nudges?" What about mail and personal notes? What would motivate you to write back to someone? What would turn you "off?" Thanks...

I don't respond to nudges from strangers for the most part. I prefer an actual email that shows they've read my profile and at least have something to say to me. Just saying hi doesn't do a whole lot. Giving me something to reply to would be a good way to get me to reply, rather than just saying hi.

Thanks for your post. I agree with you...I'd like to know why someone is interested in me and what they think we might have in common etc.

it really depends on the profile.
a nudge may cause me to look at one

if the profile is shallow ... that's as far as it goes.

if the nudge is from a fellow forum user I'v noticed then I will email them back.

i'm not sure what to do with a nudge. if i get one i'm not sure if i should send one back or email. if i send one i'm not sure if i'll get one back or email. go figure

Hmmmmm I always responded to every message and nudge, but to me it was someone who was open and honest about themselves, i wasnt interested in how good someone was or how wonderful they thought I was (like how would they know) There is nothing worse than someone telling you what a great sense of humour you have when they first write. I blocked every person who asked me to marry them , have sex, send sexy photos or didnt bother to really read my profile , Since I wanted someone who was interested in me for the inside not just the outside, I looked for caring and sincere. love   and found it.,

Some of the best emails I've gotten is when I've posted something on the forum & someone takes the time to send me a private message of encouragement, etc. That's how I've made many friends here.

Nudges are a bit annoying, if you want to say something, just say it. A message dosn't have to be anything special really, just something that shows a bit of interest is good enough for me. Confidence is a good thing also.

I hate it when women show interest in me by nudging me...next thing I know they will be winking at me in real life....ick.

nudges are the stupidest things ever.
completely pointless.
i only write back if;
i've already written to you.
if you can spell correctly.
don't call me by any stupid pet names.
say something completely random yet interesting/entertaining.

Yah..."nudges".....I'll usually "write" back "licks your ear".....

....might freak out, might start dialogue

Actually that's BS.....it's a good way to smooch friends when everyone knows that they are busy and won't trip over short answers

I usually respond to all emails, except for the ones that say "i do good for u..u want mee?" They get ignored along with nudges from anyone who has never spoken to me.
