Honestly, my own personal ideal date would be going to a museum, aquarium, book store, comic book store, checking out video games to play together. Then going home and making a dinner for me and my partner.

Though the museum or aquarium would probably win me over, or the book store.

What about you guys? What would win you over? :)

Something simple and casual that gives us a chance to talk and enjoy each others company, that's all I really want.

Book store for sure. I could spend weeks in there.

And the museum would be good, too.

Although I'm OK with the mall or a long walk through the park as well.

For a date Museum or a aquarium would be nice. A good old fashion dinner or coffee would be good too.

Probably my very favorite date was when me and an ex (who I am still great friends with), invited me out for my 20th birthday to my very favorite resturaunt. Then we headed back, I took a bath, read a great book, then cuddled for a bit, then slept.

But I don't know, I think I would be incredibly charmed if someone took the time to get me a book they think would fit my tastes. Maybe much later get to know my favorite flower and get me the seeds or bulbs so I could grow them myself.

Or a rose bush.. :o

Or a potato for Valentine's day. (Haha long story)

Fly to Hawaii. Pick fresh fruit. Walk in the rain.
Buy new batik clothes. Skinny dip at the deserted falls.
Dinner fish sandwiches at a sidewalk cafe....

or

Evening out dancing. A long slow kiss on a long slow dance.
Back home and a warm sponge bath with scented oils. Read to
each other until we fall asleep.

or

Fly to Paris. Musee Marmottan. Aussi le Musée des arts et métiers présente une collection exceptionnelle d’objets techniques et scientifiques. Musee Rodin. For dinner, handmade pizza baked in open fire at this place on the Boul Miche near le Jardin Luxembourg. At night we go to Sacre Coeur and kiss on the bench overlooking the city, take the night train to Switzerland where we make love and arise early to views of the fields, mountains, alpine flower with fresh cafe au lait and croissants and crepes.

laugh OK...OK...these are not really first dates. laugh

except for the evening out dancing...that could be a first date
well maybe a third date...don't *usually* bathe together on the
first date...

blushing

An ideal date for me wouldn't depend on what we do together. It would depend on whether or not we're able to allow each other to feel free to just be ourselves and then still be enthusiastic about planning another date together.

My ideal first date would be one that leads to a second!

But as for what I'd like to do IDEALLY...

...take me to a game, preferably at Fenway park if you really want to impress the hell out of me. But any sporting event would do. A hockey game, football, minor league baseball, whatever. A bite to eat afterwards, maybe a couple of drinks. Talk to the wee hours. Smile often. And walk away knowing that he'll want to see me again. That'd be an ideal date in my book.

Ironically, I have my first "date" in forever tonight. Not to Fenway, but any date is 'ideal' at this point! shades
