Many children know me in my town. So, if I go somewhere, and one was to see me.... They will say, "I know you" then it comes....the kick on my leg. (Has anyone ever got a kick from a child?) I just do not know how this started.

NO.. and if they did , I would put them over my knee and give their behinds a good hiding.. or kick them back..

Honestly dont their mothers stop them..

That is so unacceptable.. Talk to their parents, its sooo wrong, and not something that any child with any respect from 2 to 20 should do to anyone..

Well she is not a very responsible mother,.

I am sorry but its not acceptable for a child to be allowed to touch anyone, and they should be taught that their are consequences when they do.

That is not a child being a child, it is a child being a spoilt little horror..

How will he ever grow up to be a responsible adult if noone teaches him how to be a responsible child..

Honestly...children being rude and parents letting them makes me want to give the parents a good kick in the behind. dont they realise that they are going to end up with teanage monsters if they dont teach them some manners and respect.

I have a 16 year old son, who is 300 pounds of muscle, and if he didnt have a little respect there is absolutely no way I could get him to do anything..Imagine what he would be doing now if he was allowed to go around kicking people when he was little..

Oh teanagers will just be teenagers, let them do drugs and sleep around , rob a few shops, its Ok they are just kids....

I dont think so.

Hmmm yep I do feel a little strongly about this..

Playing the Blame Game really doesn't solve much.

So we've established it's the parents fault, now what?

You can't expect a parent who doesn't care to all of the sudden start caring, can you? I mean, sure, in a perfect world maybe, but what is he suppose to do about getting kicked?!

Many children know me in my town. So, if I go somewhere, and one was to see me.... They will say, "I know you" then it comes....the kick on my leg. (Has anyone ever got a kick from a child?) I just do not know how this started.

Some kids are just undisciplined brats because they have ever had any discipline other than "No Honey.....Don't....No Honey...Don't"

Last year, our Chief of Operations had his sons and a visiting nephew in town. The first day ...yep..the kid (10 yr old nephew) came up and kicked me straight in the shin. I asked "Do I know you?" The kid stuck his tongue out and ran out of the break room. The next afternoon I go walking into the break room after a HARD day and the kid runs in and throws a wet paper towel...hits me square in the face.

He smiled and bounced around...I said..."You need to learn some manners"

"I got manners"

Then I litterally told him "Then maybe I should just beat the f**king s**t out of you"....The kid stopped and turned white as a sheet. I walked back out. 20 minutes later, the kid came out to where I was working and hanging out with his cousins and picked up a broom to sweep the floor beside me. He told me "I wont be mean to you again".

My reply: "Good. I won't kick your @$$."

After that....The child is very polite and respectful when he does visit. I talk to kids like I talk to adults. The kids actually apprecieate and fascinate on the fact that someone treats them as an equal.

I also said to kick the child, honestly if they can do it, just do it back, let them know what it feels like, its not that big a deal..

Then just say i wont kick you again if you dont, as i do not like it..Easy.

Uh, to answer your question...no child has ever kicked me on my leg. the question itself is odd to say the least.
so, whenever you meet a kid they kick you? If I were you I would have to ask myself why this is happening??????...

Never, ever kick back.

ptooie!! bigsmile

i would imagine that it's the reaction they have come to know. what do you? perhaps you should figure out a way to unencourage them, and as some have said, never with a kick back. as an adult you have an advantage and a responsibility to not mimic inappropriate behavior. but i would certainly find a way to change it.
