The U.S. Marine Corps is launching an investigation into a video that recently surfaced online showing what appears to be several Marines in uniform urinating on corpses.
The video, which started Wednesday morning making the rounds on the Web, shows four men in full Marine combat gear standing over the bodies of what appear to be dead Taliban fighters. They look around before proceeding to urinate over the corpses. One of the men can be heard saying, “Have a great day, buddy.” According to TMZ, the unnamed person responsible for posting the video included a caption reading, "scout sniper team 4 with 3rd battalion 2nd marines out of camp lejeune peeing on dead talibans," though it wasn't immediately clear if any of that information was accurate. The Marine Corps issued a statement immediately after learning of the video, saying a full investigation is under way. “While we have not yet verified the origin or authenticity of this video, the actions portrayed are not consistent with our core values and are not indicative of the character of the Marines in our Corps,” the statement read. You'll get some tree-huggers crying foul, but maybe those poor Taliban were on fire though, nevertheless, they are with their virgins now anyhow. The same ones that sympathetic would be pissing in their pants with live rounds whizzing by their heads. Marines aren't exactly choir boys people.

I've never had to go to war so I have no idea what one would need to do to mentally survive that kind of situation. Or what happens to their thinking while they are over there. So I'm not judging something I know nothing about.
But, I don't think this is okay to do and I certainly wouldn't be cheering them on. |

I'm a Marine, Viet Nam vet.... this $hit happens on both sides....war is H3LL, and it is a mind set you must adapt from when returning. It is usually not "shared" when it is filmed or photographed, but this is the information age with youtube, facebook and twitter.... someone wasn't thinking.... |

I'm a Marine, Viet Nam vet.... this $hit happens on both sides....war is H3LL, and it is a mind set you must adapt from when returning. It is usually not "shared" when it is filmed or photographed, but this is the information age with youtube, facebook and twitter.... someone wasn't thinking.... That's why I cannot judge these men as "bad". But it is upsetting to see. |

My guess is if those who were not soldiers served and saw this happening they have the same morbid sense of humor. I worked for DOC and also the county hospital in both the pysch ward and the ER and have seen some gruesome things, I had a ****ed up sense of humor to begin with so it didn't bother but watching the noob doctors and nurses next to the veteran doctors you could really see how stressful situations harden people. |

There are too many, who have given NOTHING, or have nothing to give, that think they have a right to commit or obligate others to satisfy their own egotistical self gratification... WAR IS HELL!
