Topic: What can I possibly do!?

Here's an easy bullet-list version because I'm not quite in the mood to unleash a needlessly emo rant:

- 19, gay
- parents are trying to cure me of gay and don't let me out someplace "suspicious"
- only option for relationships is local community college
- no gay people at said college that aren't either taken or creepy
- have to go online and hope no one finds out
- if found out, or go out to somewhere, will either be thrown out of house/livelihood, permanently trapped in house, or sent to some kind of gay camp to cure me (yes, I have just used the pejorative term for gay to refer to those things).

Suggestions?

Exactly...Move out!!
You are who you are and there's nothing wrong with being gay, ok I am a little biased as my best friend is gay, and I wouldn't change him for ANYTHING. Your family will accept you in time, they're probably old fashioned and think it's just a phase you're going through.
I understand it's probably really hard to meet other people but you will, in time.

I hope you find what you're looking for.

You're 19, get your own place. Or, just do whatever the f*** you want, what's the worst that can happen? You're legally an adult, last time I checked 18 was considered legally adult.

Move into your own place asap.

I have a son a little older than you. He's not gay but if he was it wouldn't make any difference to me

Getting out on your own can be scary at first. It does not sound like you have the freedom to be you in your current situation. Love from your parents should be unconditional.
Secure a job... talk to your folks about how you feel..find a place where you can be happy and live.
Hugs to you. I understand you are going through a difficult part in your life.

Get out on your own. It may be a struggle at times, but at least you can be true to yourself.

Well - quite a few responses. Thanks, but I don't think just up and popping out of the house without anyway to support myself is a good idea. I may be getting tired of this, but not so much that I'm ready to abandon logic.

Get an education, get a job, get your own place.

Worry about sex later.

Get a part time job, save for 2/3 months and look for budget student accommodation to live.
It won't be perfect nor easy but hey we all have to learn to stand on our own two feet.
It will be your home, your rules, you can be yourself and be happy while learning independence at the same time.

If it's not a viable option to move out..suck it up until such a time that you can live your life how you want.

As my dad use to say to me..."if you live under my roof..."

Not particularly helpful advice but it what it is

Get a job to support yourself, then move out.
