What do you all think when a new love one don't want u to be talking to your friends of the opposite sex. Is that because they're insecure or because they are jealous because they're Double dippin or both??

I don't know what "double dipping" is in this context, but I'd say a combination of fear, insecurity, and jealousy.

I'll need a receipt for that two cents.

When my son first got involved with his now ex wife...that was the first thing she did...put a stop to his having friends..or family...she needed all his attention she said..she was screwing around on him the whole time and never stopped. It's a dayum shame how people like her work the affections of others.

Insecure.
A sense of 'entitlement' perhaps to the
affections of the 'new loved one'.

Cheaters are the very first to be alarmed
as they know the scenario.

I, would run fast and hard to get away
from someone like that.

It is like liars.
It is not that they lie that is the worst,
it is that they can believe no one else.

I am glad you cleared that up about double dipping. I have been acquainted with guys that didn't want their women talking to either guys or other women. That is one problem I never had with my ex. I just naturally trusted her. At one time she got onto me because I didn't get jealous of her being with someone else. I had to scratch my head on that one. But when I get infatuated with someone I do get jealous. Go figure. Not so much as a trust issue but as she might actually have another friend. That is where I have had trouble being clingy. So as long as I don't infatuated with someone I am alright.

 Well that would be some people's problem I seen that too. But I want infatuation without jealousy.

It would more likely be insecurity and jealousy. Depends on the person though.

If you truly care for someone, you want and need to make them happy.. so why cut them off from the other relationships in their life..true friends are hard to come by, especially if they are just friends and not love interests..they have your best interests in mind. Why take that away from the one that falls for you?

Humm honestly I have no problem with them having friends of the opposite sex as long as they include me in... Now I do have a problem if they always want to be with them and I've been outcast in the meet...

I do have male friends and that is all they are......But when I'm with someone then they are always included to be around me when with my friends...If they choose to not be that is their problem...

If one tells me I have to give up my friends cause he is insecure that is his issue not mine.. As long as we are only friends they will stay within my life...

I don't tend to keep ex lovers as a buddy buddy... but will be social around them if it so happens we are in the same place..

At first I thought this was about sloppy seconds...

But, those dousches who don't want you to talk with anyone but them are invariably, untrusting, selfish, jealous, manipulative and controlling pathtic pieces of crap that know that thier own inferior personalities are the real problem and try to dominate a weaker one into submission and capitulation.

I see it pretty frequently...not sure who I blame more. The controlling ones or the ones who allow someone else to dictate thier lives for them.
