What would you do when a guy keeps saying he would marry you and when you ask hm to propose he tells you he has already proposed by telln you he would marry you.

I would think sending out the invitations
may be motivating.

saying he would marry you is one thing,
actually proposing to you is another.
sounds like he's of the type who
doesn't do what says or means.
careful,,,

He 'keeps' assuring you that you have been
proposed to.
Ummm, has he implied he got an answer from you?

Tell him you are setting up the appointment for the marriage license and ask him when is good for him.....

seems an odd situation all the way around

not ideal for sure

what would spark him to say he will marry you? that in itself seems like a response to a request, not a proposal....

my understanding is a proposal is when they ask YOU for your hand, not when they make an agreement to take your hand,,,

First of all when a mans' words do not equal his actions you always look at his actions. they never lie.

the man doesn't want to get married and he's stringing the woman along.

If a man says he could fly, can he? I mean he said it.

Women are too easily fooled by what a man says when they should be looking at what he does. When his words match his actions, then you have a keeper and he's telling the truth.

When they don't, his actions show what he feels, and his words are used to fool the woman and cover up what he's really thinking.

I'm inclined to agree with mthom on that, but in addition...constantly bringing the subject of marriage up and cornering him to committ to a date, isn't going to do you any favours in getting you to that altar as well.

I have to ask though....why does marriage have to be proof of a committment to you? spock

:) i can certainly relate to that. but still, when a guy proposes, he's not just supposed to be saying it out loud but rather acting on it. Action speaks louder than words, they say. it's not all about what he says he would do but what he does to do what he says to do.

I've been proposed to, three times. I didn't end up marrying any of those long-term boyfriends. They just weren't as into the relationship. Afterall, let's face reality, eye candy is just eye candy. So for people our there moaning that they're "Too ugly", it can be just as bad when throw themselves at you. Just saying. lol. I was their trophy for the most part. I need to look old and haggard me thinks. laugh
