i have bought many stuff in a thrift store

they have 2 human society stores here in town
and one has cats where they can be adopted
plus clothing and such

the other has clothing and stuff

the 2nd one i found was a small curio cabnet
i paid $20 for as is.... all it needed was a pad lock
($1 at the dollar store for a pad lock)

i have some of my collectables and knic nacs in it

i love going to the goodwill bins
where u can buy by the pound

what about getting stuff free
on either the side of the road
or from left over yard sales

you can actually find some good stuff

my mom calls me a hoarder
for i have alot of stuff

but hoarders dont throw
things away
but i do

there was one time i cleaned my closet
and i used to crochet alot
but havent in along time
it got to tiring

i went through my yarn i didnt want plus scrap
and i posted on craigslist

yes they can be idiots at times

i used to work at goodwill
and they actually had a price book

but now you can tell on some things
they overcharge

but at the goodwill bins.
they dont care as long as they can sell it

i bought these stackables ( i cant recall the real name)
but when you open them they have one after another inside

well i found 6 of them and they didnt have those
i bought them any how for i thought they were cool

didnt pay attention untill i brought them home
and realized they were pepper shakers

i paid under $1 for 6
and i priced them online

and there worth $45 a pair so they scewed there self over by $135.00

My Dad and I used to go all the time. S. Army Thrift Store, GoodWill SuperStore, Any Thrift Stores. We would find all kinds of stuff. I got a wedding dress for a $1.00 one time and to find out it was a high price dress. I gave it away. We would drive 50 miles, just to see what we could find. Since He has been gone, my heart just isn't in it anymore. no fun by yourself.

yep

awhile back my dad was cleaning out his stuff
for he had just sold his house
and e gave me some things

he gave me this old glass bambi and his tail had a butterfly on it
on ebay its going for $200

i found a bambi planter without the butterfly in the same shape as the glass bambi my dad gave me

at goodwill
and they were selling it for $8

i dont think it was work any value really
but the bambi that my dad gave me was well over 40plus yrs old

I work at Savers, and it can be a ton of fun to see some of the things that people donate.
