Topic: The whole "women in the kitchen and making sandwiches" thing

It's super annoying seeing men saying those things online. Not only is it said too much, but it's more of an insult to males than females. You do know you're implying that you're so stupid and lazy to make food that you need a superior female to do it for you, right?

wow...the only time I have every seen that is when someone is joking.

the more time you ladies spend in the kitchen making sandwiches, the less time you have to read about men posting about women making sandwiches

I do my own cooking thank you! I can make my own sandwiches! I would rather my other half doing something more constructive than trying to serve me hand and foot. I would rather my other half be a crazy artist than clinging ivy!

Frankly I DO want a superior woman in my life. That is what I have been holding out for. A woman who can take care of herself and not be scared what I think! The whole thing is can we click as equals or does she want control? I sure in the hell am not about to be controlled... And I don't want to be in control of someone else. That is not the path to happiness (or at least my happiness).

I want to "breed up," and not "breed down." I am not the kind of guy who wants kids by every woman in sight. I just want my kids from THE BEST WOMAN AROUND!

But I have a lot to live up to to be better than the other guys! Now bear in mind I live in Los Angeles county and am trapped between poverty and wealth. I am "working class" (cough cough) and the women here want looks, money, and success. Nothing else. If I were to borrow my friend's Rolex and dress upscale women want to talk to me. But just being me? NOT HERE! So why is it if I go to say Texas a lot of girls there WANT to talk to me irregardless of me being "working class?" Please do not assume I am blowing smoke, my hypothesis has been tested WITH A REAL ROLEX! You want to see me get smiles and attention? If I drive my friends 2008 Lexus SUV wearing his Rolex suddenly women are interested in me. I get phone numbers in that thing! Pulling into a store and just acting like nothing is wrong in life with the gold gleaming on my wrist and the keys to a Lexus in my hand and oh how I am SO interesting to women suddenly.

Is this wat dating is all about these days? Who gives the other person a leg up?

Fine, I'll make my own sandwich and you can wash your own car and change the oil. bigsmile

It really doesn't matter to me, as long as the responsibilities a split up, who cares. Whatever our strengths and preferences are.

It really would depend on the progress of the relationship, I am completely independent and have no problem with it staying that way.

I LOVE making food for my squeeze.
Always so appreciative.
When I get it back it is wondrous.

For me, it is more about making someone
else happy, if food does that for them
I am all for it.

Plus, a good sandwish lives on, in the mind.

I remember a guy saying to me "women; go make me a sandwich". My reply is "how far up your butt do you want it shoved?" Without missing a bit he said "make sure there you make it with mayonnaise as its a better lubricant". So, yes I knew he was kidding around with me and I kidded back. I never take it seriously from a guy as they know me way to well.

This is actually pretty fair. Maybe a woman (in some relationships) cook while the guys take out the trash, etc.

It's not always one sided as in the OP. There is usually a trade off. But if any one (man or woman) let's the relationship be one sided...that is for them to do something about

Do men really wash a woman's car and change her oil? I have always done it myself. bigsmile

I have said repeatedly that, in the USA, a single woman wants a man who can give her the kind of lifestyle that she wants.

Meh, just a joke.

I still remember "Studies" they did back in the olden days that said it was in women's genetics to be in the kitchen...I thought it was hilarious myself.

When leaving their homes to go shopping, Wilma Flintstone and Betty Rubble would yell,

Sure, I have done it many a time.
But If you'd prefer doing it, I'll make lunch, start a load of laundry and clean the toilet...

Of course, if we are in our own places or space, I also may take off on a ride, until We have time to see each other...

I just find it amazing that a woman can't wash her own car. Its not like its rocket science or very physical. I can see maybe the oil change as no everyone knows how to do it but washing a car? slaphead

I have to agree as I am a lousy sandwich maker. I prefer to make hot meals or baked goods.
