Of Gods and Men,
Steel taking on soul,
Stamping out pen and words.

Swords dipped into the river of fire,
Chariots of silver and gold drape the horizon,
War horse grunts shared with soldier’s boots.

Upon this land the battle will wage,
In the eyes their blood will race,
Rage will burn this tranquil hillside.

We have gone beyond the ability to talk,
The sweat and tears we have poured into this,
Have made us bitter to the pending change.

We take heart in fist with each step,
Attempting to break something never broken,
Knowing full well that we will not succeed.

Fists swelling up with hate,
Vessels pulsating throughout the skull,
Each bead of sweat rolling downhill.

If these Gods refuse to serve us,
We will have their spines in trade,
If you will not even come to my aid...

I will make sure I am the last one you see.

The real points are in the effort. Man should challenge God often and question Him just as often, God should serve a purpose in life, not demean the life around it.

I understand the necessity of God, He is motivation for some to do better...He is just rarely used as such. My God motivates me to do better because I am surrounded by my God, my deity is everything. I do not clash with my belief because without me it would not exist, but without it I would cease to exist.
