Email? I often give a man my number so we can talk and text. I find it easier than chatting here or through email. Why then do I get so many request for my email or if I have yahoo messanger? It seems like Iread somewhere that I shouldn't do this but I can't remember why. Anyone have advice?

normally its a way to hit you with phishing scams but people want your email so they can talk to you through instant messenger as well really depends on your ability to judge a person if you dont want to give them your email just say no and have them call you if thats what you want shouldnt be a problem unless their hiding somthing.

This site does have an IM feature.

If somebody wants to get you off site right away or wants your private E mail address right away be vary wary.

Depending on what kind of telephone service that you have, it can be more expensive to constantly use text messages.

Also, some people may not want to have to keep replying to constant text messages. With e-mail, one can say everything that one wants to say at one time. Consider it an example of time management.

Because biggest percent of girls feel more conftable to give something not so personal as a email made to talk to people than a phone number, so we r more openly to ask for an email or instant message. Many girls take as " too direct, or too creppy" when a guy as for a phone number on the first 2 messages

If a woman is willing to give someone her telephone number, then why would she object to giving out her e-mail address as well?

Sometimes it is possible to use a reverse telephone directory to discover a person's physical address by using that person's telephone number. Yet, the same thing usually can't be done using a person's e-mail address. So, giving out the telephone number is much more risky than giving out an e-mail address.

Being that the use of e-mail is a less-risky form of communication, why would anyone complain about its use?

I've found the ones who want me off-site do so to ask for money. In other words, working a scam on you. Some might have legitimate reasons, but be wary.

From my limited undestanding of the email part
They can search and find your facebook, myspace, etc by using your email
And i personally have had scammers throw viruses on my machine
While chatting with me on messenger !
So that one is a definite don't do it thing !
Unless you know them and trust them
Also i am told they can reverse trace your I.P. using your email
Though i don't know HOW myself

happy

If they push pretty quickly for another email, you may be dealing with a scammer. Eventually, sure...but when they are telling you every day that "they aren't on here that often" beware.
