Seems to me you don't understand what "self defense" and "justifiable homicide" are and what proven "innocent" in a trial by a jury of his peers means either. To accuse anyone of being racist or ignorant when a jury says he is innocent of all charges makes you nothing less than a bigot towards others of a different opinion than one you hold yourself. Nobody thinks a death is a good thing in most cases, but the evidence showed the jury that this "boy" was the aggressor, attacked Z, and his death was the result of his own actions....not Z's |

That is why the police would not arrest him initially, he had to pass their certification board, attend the meetings, and qualify for carrying his weapon. So now we ban neighborhood watches as well as peoples weapons? How idiotic! These "volunteer" citizen groups are sponsored by their communities, under police supervision, to keep the cost of security and insurance prices down as opposed to raising HOA costs to the residents. Z was only doing his job Self proclaimed? HARDLY! Leaders are appointed or voted by the community! Thought he was police? No, but he was appointed the captain of local security! |

He attacked a man, who was armed....and he lost! both people were 'entitled' to do what they were doing it wasnt his JOB to follow ob , it was his job to WATCH and report,,,, but as a citizen, he had the right to walk just as Martin did,,, the trial was about convincing a panel of 6 individuals who the aggressor was apparently they believed the hype that this boy who had done so much to avoid this man, had come back and just attacked him,,,,or they just didnt have the necessary 'proof' of which one attacked whom so they erred on the side of not guilty but in anycase, who is the AGGRESSOR is what is the point and what has caused the divide many like me, think its bs, that this kid could be the aggressor, when trying to get home to watch a game with a bag of skittles and the drink and going out of his way to avoid this man who went out of his way to follow him it seems much more reasonable/likely, to many like me,, that this man has gotten away with his sense of authority over others for so long, that he pursued this person that he had animosity towards, that he followed him, that he confronted and most likely put his hands on him,, and caused this altercation which becaues he couldnt fight his way out of a paperbag, he felt a NEED to use a gun to get himself out of,,,, |
