Topic: Fornication wrong before marriage, but...

I'm a born again Christian. There's still some
things I'm not quite sure of.

In the Bible it mentions fornication, which
to my knowledge is sexual intercourse itself.

What about oral or mutual masturbation between
an unmarried or dating couple? Is that permitted?

KinBarrie's photo

Ok. Maybe I should have put "just born".

I believed before, but there was actually
a lot I didn't know about religion beforehand.

I had been going to the Salvation Army
church for close to a year, stopped
for a short time and am now back
there on Sunday Mornings.

I'm a little shocked no one with someone
with religious knowledge hasn't replied.

If someone can help, it would be much
appreciated.

I am single right now. Although I'd like to
get some information should I meet a lady
in the future.

hi....I too am born again! As a woman that's divorced with two children I struggled with the idea of no sex before marriage! I don't see marriage in my near future so no sex... wow that was a hard one for me to understand too for it seems in the Bible it says no self abuse... meaning you can't touch yourself either! To quote you verses and where exactly it says it in the Bible my tool is to ask the question in Google and instantly it comes up and I can read it word for word as written in the Bible! Many people will go ahead and ttranslate it to what they want to hear.. it's pretty clear what it's stating! I found a Preacher on Utube that hits  this on the head....Jefferson Bethke. Best of luck and word of advice in your search for dating someone date someone of the same yolk!

I read that part in the Bible about self abuse.
Difficult when society is saying that masturbation
is normal and healthy. And on the other flip of the
coin, the Gospel is saying it's a sin and self
harmful.

I have no children, but I struggled with it too
not too far in the distant past.

I'll now have to grab my privates with a pair of
tongs.laugh

I wasn't touching myself! It was the tongs!!laugh

And thanks for mentioning Jefferson Bethke to me.
I'll have to look him up, when I check out YT.

Any genuinely born again christian knows that msturbation, lesbianism or torching your self sexually is damning sin.the reprobate and sons and daughters of perdition could believe whatsoever they want to believe and hear whatsoever they want to hear from their funky and backsliden pastors, mostly from the morally bankrupt western countries.but the foundation of God stands sure, let everyone that nameth the name of the Lord depart from iniquity;including filthy and uncleaness of the flesh and mind

Well, here I am, weighing in on masturbation!
From a practical standpoint, it can really disrupt one's sex life. People are just too, how should I say, ON TARGET when touching themselves. So how can one expect a live, flesh-and-blood partner, NOT merely a fantasy in one's head, to be as accurate when touching their partner?frustrated And don't even get me started on vibrator-bashing! The clitoris is just too sensitive, and the vibrator too efficient and addictive, to give a woman's male partner even a snowball's chance in hell of pleasing her! Now bring on the hate-mail, ladies, waving now that I'm threatening your relationship with "Victor".

I'm a born again Christian, GV. I'm sure it's
a hinderance to a sex life, if you have one.
True Christians aren't supposed to get laid
until marriage.

So here's the toughie. Can't w@ck off if you're
single. You have a relationship with a girl or
woman, you're not supposed to fornicate, which
to my knowledge, means to have sexual intercourse.
I just wasn't sure if a couple are permitted to
pleasure one another in any other way that's
acceptable.

Seems the only way to be saved and be sexually
satisfied is have a wife.

Easy? No, hard! Damn hard! And I ain't talking
about my lower regions!laugh Oh yeah, it can
get hard, but a true Christian man or woman
isn't supposed to do a darn thing about it.

To me, and other Christians who share the same
belief, the above is a small price to pay to not
go to the underworld when our physical body dies.

80 or more years of mortal life is nothing
compared to our souls, which are eternal.
We're given free will, and can either
choose the path of sin or redemption
from the sins we have committed.

Only two ways to go....up or down.

That's the thing, GV, It's waiting for the right woman.
To be on the prowl for sex isn't really the right way
to go, if you're Christian that is.

Yeah, some women can use their bodies as tools and weapons.
Women like this will just use men for their money.

JESUS saved us all from all sin! If you believe that from the true Gospel, or are you still stuck in the LAW??

So JESUS saved us from Past, Present and Future sins; the ones' we remember, and the ones' we don't!

To say we don't sin, or sin anymore....IS A DAMNED LIAR!

Self-righteous, or Lordship Salvationists that judge other Christians on sin, and forget that they are still sinners themselves are NOT truly Born-Again! They are Pharisees of our time!

It's very easy to be truly Born Again:
Romans 3:23
Romans 10: 9,10
Galatians 2:20
Read these, and you are saved for eternity! That simple!
Also watch: jacksmack77 on YouTube!

I'm not on here to pretend I'm some saint. Of course
I know I'm imperfect and sin. Having remorse and then
praying for those sins, are the most important thing.

IMO, a real Christian shouldn't gossip or judge others
on sin, as we're only judging ourselves. As I've said
before that God is our judge. We don't have that right
to slander and condemn others personally.

Thanks for the verses and the link to Jacksmack77
on Ytube. The Vigilant Christian is also a very
informative channel. If you'd never heard of him,
I'd highly suggest you check him out.

I wasn't judging you personally, and I'm sorry if it seemed that way....

But I have seen a lot of Christians today judging so many others on sin, and it drives me mad! I was speaking on them, not you.
Again, sorry for the misunderstanding....I am deeply sorry for that.

I will check out the Vigilant Christian.

It's ok, Farandbetween! No offense taken.

You wonder what's up with people who are supposed
to be following God's word, and end up being "half
baked"?

I've only been reading and studying the Bible
for a short time. I went to the church, but never
took Bible study. Only been to church for maybe
close to a year now.

I did learn somethings, learned that being
a hypocrite, a gossiper and just being mean
spirited is sinful. Some things I didn't
know about the Bible, I ended up learning
not too long ago.

The Vigilant Christian has some great vids.
I'd highly recommend watching his stuff.

If you think of Christianity as a lifestyle rather than a religion, everything makes much more sense. Its not enough to say you are a Christian if you believe in God and Jesus, you actually have to incorporate that into your daily life. The bible tells you how to live to be a true Christian. In the end, thats all that matters.

and those who love God, do not find his ways grievous. People who love God want to live to Please God.

I think masturbation is a sin, for both men and women. If ur going to knowingly and purousefully sin, then God won't fogive you. If you already have someone in your life, then get married if you guys are in love.

You're very right, Anita! Precisely!

The Bible is the word of God. We, as Christians
have to incorporate it into our daily lives. It
isn't enough to just go to church. You have to
walk the walk, as my Dad always says.

As mortal, flesh and blood humans, we aren't
perfect. However, from Jesus sacrificing himself
on the cross for our sins, doing it so that everyone
horrific place called hell when we finally depart our
physical bodies.

We also have to keep in mind that as a true
Christian, we really don't have the right to
be hypocrites or judge anyone. It specifically
states in the Bible how God is our judge. You,
I and the rest of our brother's and Sister's on
this planet do not have that right.

It states in the Bible clearly that" all non-believers
will have their part in the lake of fire" Now, it doesn't
take a genius to figure out where the lake of fire is.

We can only get through to so many, however. There
are just too many close minded people out there.
