Perhaps. Maybe it was a politicians wife who told him if he didn't make it illegal after she caught him with a prostitute then she was cut off his family jewels.

Maybe it was a woman of some power who was a prude and hated women who sold their bodies and used religion to have it banned.

Most likely the use of fear in some manor was done.

Wouldn't it be interesting if by chance it was started by a madam or a prostitute who wanted to put the competition out of biz without realizing how it was going to hurt themselves?

Bean. I know what is being talked about. I'm just having fun basically nit picking to take the conversation in new directions. That's why I pretty much switched sides to argue the opposite of what I was arguing before. I also made Isaac define more his stance on legislating morality. I'm very good at what I do and just wish I could get paid for it. hahaha

So you think your are good at this? laugh laugh
(Um, no you're not.)

Going off track and off topic is not "good" especially when you get caught doing it and someone has to bring you back on topic. Its just an attempt to be distracting and a waste of time.

What I did was take this on an extension of the topic after it was said that you can not regulate morality. I used examples of laws that are morality being regulated.

The original topic of sex for money could also include the porn industry as people in that line of work certainly get paid for sex. Child porn also leads to someone getting paid for sex. But it's very illegal and others are getting exploited and abused.

My last statement for this post is that I would say that you certainly can regulate morality. Even when it comes to prostitution. You can write laws for pretty much anything regardless as to how pointless it is. Some laws are harder to enforce than others and I am sure there are plenty of them that aren't enforced at all or are rarely enforced. It only takes someone in position to write the law and get it passed. Just look at the health care bill Obama is shoving down everyone's throat. hahaha
