And the best soundtrack about horror films is from "PHANTASM" (one of the best one)

I totally agree with this. One of my favorite horror movie soundtracks.

Got an app on my phone that I downloaded, from the market for free called ' movies now ' All the new films on it and a horror category, thats loaded with classics and it costs you nothing to watch them! I'm going to watch Insidious 2 on it shortly! The app has Angelina Jolies face between 2 pieces of film, if anyone is interested?

Halloween (1978)- It just doesn't get any better than the original by John Carpenter. If the opening of young Michael Myers killing his sister doesn't stir you, or the fact that Myers is just pure evil dressed in the simplest of costumes, and the fact that Halloween (a night where we all dress up) is set as the backdrop for when this man of pure evil comes home to kill his only relative doesn't stir you....then I don't know what will. The part with Myers dressed in the sheet and looking at one hot chick in the bed before he kills her is both creepy and (somewhat) sexy. LOL. Anyways, this movie got it right. A balance of a great story and scares. And it gave birth to the scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis. Thank you Mr. Carpenter.

Well said!

But remember, Carpenter didn't come up with the whole Michael killing his relative thing until Halloween II, in the original Michael's motives were totally unknown.

Silence of the Lamb :)

Still daunting as ever as it's 1st premiere with media buzz stringing real events during that decade.

I saw a good Swedish one last week called ' Let The Right One In ' about a vampire child and a wee guy who gets bullied and they end up friends. Doesn't sound much, but some parts shocked me!

That's one of my favorite movies. It was later remade into a British-American 2010 film, Let Me In. :)
