Every January of a new year, most people decide to either quit smoking, spend less, drink less,be a better & loving spouse, etc but they hardly keep their promises up to a month and they are back to square one. What are your new year resolutions? Does it make sense and how long can you keep them?

Promise to be a lot better boyfriend. Yes I can keep this one, because it will always be uber-important to me.

Go to a chiropractor and get my back back (two accidents last year left me with problems)

Go to my regular doctor more regularly ( recently suffered a heart attack due to a 'small' abnormality in a valve that I could have known about sooner)

stop working for and stressing to line the pockets of OTHERS,,,(im sure part of that attack was stress and sleep deprivation related,,)

take back control of my time and my finances by working for myself

take a cruise with my family,,,

become more involved with church and charity with my daughter,,

move into my own place, still near family, but not with family

get a dog,,,

lol

Excellent! But getting a dog? Google and read about the couple that died recently.Who sent them to early grave? Their pet dogs who were fighting. The couple wanted to stop the fight and that was it

The only resolution I make is to not make a resolution. Which the very act of making that resolution means I failed. hahaha

No room for improvement?
It's only because I know I won't keep any resolutions.

I don't see the point in the new years resolution. You can make a resolution when ever you want to make yourself a better person, to stop drinking, to stop smoking, to stop practicing cannibalism.

It doesn't have to be a special occasion to decide to do something to better yourself. That is pretty much what I am talking about when I say I don't make new years resolutions. If I decide to make an improvement. Then I just say I need to do this.

I don't believe in making New Years Resolutions anymore. I know that might make me sound like a grump, but I can fix any problem in my life, any time of year I choose. Why should it be reserved for a certain date? I'm not so sure it would make a blind bit of difference what day you choose to do it on.
