Topic: Should the government-

-be given the freedom to breed superhumans? Every once in a while a genius is born, they happen by chance and are rare. But what if we deliberately set out to create an entire race of them? Humanity has its limitations, but superhumans would be able to do things that we can't and therefore speed up discoveries and new inventions etc.

no, breeding should remain an intimate , and one on one decision between a man and a woman,,,,

Wouldn't this topic be better served in Philosophy?

There's a lot of things gubament shouldn't be allowed to do.

I, as an individual, have little effect on what they choose to do.

Misharmony, But what about all the unwanted pregnancies? The government could make use of them.

Misharmony, But what about all the unwanted pregnancies? The government could make use of them.

How about including the children of women who can't or won't take the initiative to support the ones they wantonly pump out?

AKA, the dredges of society.

what has an unwanted pregnancy to do with government breeding?

is the idea to try to salvage aborted children? not gonna be possible,, the point is to kill the baby,,,

Willing, haha! There will need to be some sort of selection process. But I guess some of "dredges" could be used for dangerous experiments.

lets throw in those being raised to be bigots ,while we are at it,,,lol

careful for the day your imperfections put you in the 'dredge' category,,,

(not you specficially but all humans in general)

They don't breed superhumans, they condition them in a lab

oh you mean like the way monsanto does it with genetic engineering the
of the food supply

nah, I don't think of vegetables and meat as having 'intimate' decisions together

I was speaking strictly human breeding,,,

the gmo and hormone treatments going into the food supply of the
population are effecting the future offspring thus causing a sort
of genetic engineering

Isn't it amazing how many can't see past their noses?

Monsanto products are now in the whole cycle of life.

Eating GMO causes laziness, lack of drive, and makes ya wanna be the eternal victim.

adju,

that does sound like an argument used so that genetic engineering can be excused, but generally

breeding and genetic engineering are different things

breeding only involves selecting parents

genetic engineering involves introducing 'foreign' genes

when dogs are 'bred', no one introduces foreign genes, they just select the parents

Who here is under the presumption, a superhuman can be bred by just using two ordinary humans?laugh

It would take genetically mutated organisms introduced into the fertilization process.

Have another Big Mack.laugh

'breeding' superhumans is the topic

the question presumes such a thing is possible, not an unreasonable presumption

just about anything that can occur 'naturally' , science has a way of attempting to understand by duplicating,,,,,

and nature can and does produce humans who have distinct abilities from the norm,,,,,,,
