Forgiveness

Time
the soul’s open wound
spills age upon the flesh
leaving wrinkles
and weary bones
to define the years
good
and bad alike

And as we travel
the days of life
from love
to pain
to understanding
and reconciliation
forgiveness is all we need
to others…and ourselves

There are somethings can't can't be forgiven....

I disagree..Sorry
could you forgive a mom who beat you so bad that you still have the scars, who threw glass bottles at you, and called you every name under the son then one day when you said enough was enough you were thrown out and had to live in a hostel where men tried to get into your room and you were still a kid and not once did she say sorry ?

And anger gives you what? I can completely understand why you would not forgive her and if it feels better to say that you'll never forgive her that's your choice. But tomorrow has no place for hate and if that's where you choose to then that means you want to move forward. So move forward with your life and let go of what did not define you.

Forgiving is a tough one.
I think you can only do it when you are ready.
Its taken me a long time.
Letting go is hard and moving on.
I like the poem :)

the thing is I have moved on and I don't feel anything, but forgiving is something you do when you can honestly say you could have a cup of tea with the person or have that person around your children. would you want someone like that looking after your kids I think not, nobody can say that someone else should forgive and move on because until you have actually been in the same place as that person you don't know what you would do. I very much doubt that you could forgive so easily if it had happened to you. moving on is the easy bit, forgiving is not always possible because until you can say you would have that person around your kids or have dinner together etc you have not forgiven. not forgiving does not always mean your a mess still, it can mean that you drew a line under that and its over.

forgiveness is better to just forget sometimes an not to dwell ...
but when reminded my temper comes right back out again ... trying not to think of the depth of the darkness is ... where my angry is stored ... some say forgive but the different is never forget... but somehow that does not work for me ...
