So the law is requiring BOTH parties give 'affirmative consent' before and DURING the act

should be interesting to see it enforced, or proven/disproven,,,

its pretty unclear to me what 'affirmative consent' means, EXACTLY

but the bill states both parties must give it before and DURING the sexual activity

it cant be an ongoing relationship, or silence, or lack of resistance,, but instead must be 'affirmative consent'

there is a link to the actual bill on the page in the OP

Yes, I do.
Apparently, I can't say likewise.

Get a receipt. Condoms make for fewer liberal idiots.

Ummm. no... No receipt, Continuous consent this means that both parties have to be involved in consenting the sexual act. It's the idea that both people have to be able to want it and do want it. There is nothing about condoms. There is nothing about needing proof. However this will mean that drugs (E.G. alcohol) and sex don't mix.

Also the bill deals with schools and higher education. The bill makes is so that colleges educate their students and use practices when dealing with sexual misconduct.

A receipt will hold up in court. A mans word against a womans accusation and DNA from sperm means the man goes to prison.

Condoms help spread the liberal disease.

Grasshoppers are cute, to a point. Then, they become fish bait.

Who, pray tell thing, ( think), rape is funny.

It's best for humanity if liberals don't reproduce. Giddyup sayings.

This law is there to prevent and reduce Rape especially in colleges and universities. Are you telling me that by joking and laughing at the law means that you aren't joking about it?

At least they are doing something about the issue, something is better then nothing at this point. Telling colleges and universities to educate their students and reform their practices means that changes will be made such that date rape will occur on a less frequent basis. When it does happen students will have channels they can go through, get help from the college or university, and get the support they need.

Yet here we have people saying that the law is a joke, because "Liberals"
or "stupid government"

Furthermore, the accusation that all liberals shouldn't reproduce is as offensive as saying that "Insert race here" shouldn't reproduce, gays and lesbians shouldn't reproduce, poor women should have their tubes tied, or all NRA shouldn't have kids.

Show me an accusation.

You are entitled and I am entitled to an opinion. My opinion being, for the sake of humanity, most liberals should not produce.

After the hot passionate kiss, the start of unbuttoning the top clothes, the glances full of lust and fire... he suddenly stopped. He removed his hands from around her and asked with the firm tone...
"Do you want to have sex with me?"

The sparks vanished from her eyes. Just like that the mood was broken... she hesitated to say anything while thinking "what if we don't get the mood going again. Thought of being taken cold made her feel uncomfortable. The silence was getting embarassingly long.
"Yes, why not" she replied quietly, looking down.
with unease...his hands started to embrace again... his lips found her lips.
Another stop. Here eyes went wide open as she suddenly remebered her part.
"Ummm...would you...do you want to do it with me?"
Now it was his turn to hesitate. The long pause before might've ment she's not really into it. And last thing he needed now was faking or a starfish session.
The pause got longer and longer... till she could not take it anymore.
"I think we should stop."

Accusing statement:

It's best for humanity if liberals don't reproduce.

While you are right that you have an opinion. That doesn't mean that it isn't as offensive as saying that "insert any group here" shouldn't have the right to live, or "insert any group here" shouldn't have the right to reproduce, or "insert any group here" shouldn't have the right to survive.

It's literally prejudice. As in by the literal definition of prejudice. In my opinion prejudice has no reason in society, and thus there is no reason why I shouldn't let it cultivate by my inaction.

that's not a joke, nor in any way humorous in nature.

you do pose an interesting problem. What is considered consent? Is snuggling closer considered consent? Is taking off your other partners close consent? Is taking off your own consent? IS saying "don't stop" consent? Does it have to be verbal or do non verbal cues work?

these things may not be clear in the bill, but are clear in the execution of it.

How about when there is no consent? Does sleeping in the same bed consent?
Does getting plastered being considered consent? Does the inability of the other one not remembering considered consent?

hey prime, I have been assaulted twice in my life, so I definitely wouldn't laugh about rape,,

I just don't quite understand the purpose or enforceability of such a law,,,understanding that sex/lovemaking can be a very intimate thing or a very impulsive thing that not everyone responds to in the same way

mandating the response,, seems like missing the mark,, to me anyhow,,,,especially since it will still come down to something that happens with only two witnesses
