when you limit your self to a 50 miles that nocks out 99.9% of anybody on or of the forums.just thinin. that's a good idea , yet I have a problem ... I really want to activate this filter , but there is a lady which I like and i am waiting for her to send me some message , she lives 51 miles away , so what can I do in this case . thanks in advance |

Perhaps they read posts on forums and just check the profile afterwards? It is one of the possibilities. I do the same. Let me check your profile. BRB  I agree. I do it all the time. I see an interesting post and I check the profile to put it in context. People who make a lot of interesting posts probably get checked more often. You should be flattered if people are checking your profile. And if they do it multiple times it's probably because the have not yet committed your profile to memory. That's what the profile is there for. As to why they don't leave a message. In my case it would be a lot of "Oh yeah now I remember...." No harm, no foul. IMHO.  I'm interesting! I agree. A moth in flight seemingly erratic yet guided by the light.  Sounds like a sculpture you should be working on. lol. I am just me, the sum of my life's experiences. Unique. The settings are the way they are for two reasons: 1) Spammers and scammers are annoying and they NEVER give up, so this prevents them from sending message from overseas while maintaining a fake profile in which they claim to be within the region of 50 miles. 2) I do not want to get into long distance relationships or make pen pals (exchange text messages and phone calls) , so if the person is in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada there is a chance to meet, get to know each other and take it from there There is a simple way to resolve this and it is called "add as a friend" invitation. If you chat with someone on the forum and want to add this person as a friend, I think it is possible even if mail filters are up and running. After an initial exchange of messages there is no problem with keeping in touch by mail, because new Mingle mail setting would overwrite the filter settings once the mail has been sent and received. Zactly. I'm always in stealth too. |

I wonder what is on the mind of those Minglers who periodically view my profile without any attempt to make a contact. Are they trying to get an attention and make me ask them what brings them back? Did you have such an experience? Does it feel like stalking? It does to me.   You have a photo in your profile. That's fair. Those who have ASK ME FOR A PHOTO and an empty profile, just browse, do not participate in this forum and for some reason often come back to see my profile. It just doesn't feel right. That's all. If it bothers you, call them on it.... message the people who do it the most with...You know,I can see you looking at me.... they will either respond.. or not look at the profile again |
