"Do you judge people based on their posts in the forums?"

Absolutely.

The written word is simply the black-and-white product of one's thoughts...

...and of one's thought processes. Online, there are no tonal inflections, no facial expressions, no hand gestures, and no body language to soften/change the blow of what one's really *saying*.

No I look at it like who am I to judge anyone because everyone has different outlooks on different subjects. However I do see who is compatible with the way I view life.

Chatting with someone over a length of time, brimgs out there personality as they can no long hide behind the words they have written, if that makes sense. We all hide stuff or protect ourselves & when you feel comfortable with someone this come out. Just my personel opinion.

At first yes but, eventually what is written or said must match. But, since this is real life people don't always keep it real. Generally speaking people want you to know the good or what that want to be good in them.

"Do you judge people based on their posts in the forums?

It depends on whether or not people are being serious with what they say.

For example, if a woman here is actually being haughty (instead of pretending to be) in her comments, then I suspect that she is haughty in real life.
