If God opens the doors for a holiday, Your welcome anytime. New Zealand is paradise and you are welcome to visit, oh I hate cooking, so fend for yourself lol.

It couldn't be done unless it was done from the Burj Khalifa, in Dubai, at 818 metres tall and even then it would take 17.9 seconds to hit the ground at a terminal velocity of 121.5mph, which would be achieved after you fell 149 metres. So split second timing would be needed, to open a parachute, after the woman had already dropped for 8 seconds.

He wont answer any theory. I think they betrayed each other and there is a life lesson coming up which this is merely a parallel to.
Am I right or wrong? ohwell
i will answer at the right time. There are ''life lessons'' from this short story, few people would discern them

Aw, not nice my friend. People may surprise you with their 'discernment'. slaphead

Deal. ''romance''? Lol!! My long abstinence from whatever resembles romance has settled that one. Godliness and regeneration of my soul/spirit have mortified the flesh. I must admit that its His (God) grace that kept me chaste for years in a rotten and morally bankrupt world, not self imposed abstinence. Cheers!!

neither, she knew her husband
knew he may not go through with it

bought a way to stay on earth with him in case he decided not to die

if they had jumped together, even with a parachute, they would meet the same fate TOGETHER as long as they held on to each other,,,

If we are being forced to choose, I have to say the woman betrayed the man, for the simple reason that she came prepared with the parachute. The man could have not-jumped simply out of a momentary fear, or a last-second hesitation (or eight-second hesitation), but the woman knew she was not going to die as soon as she packed the parachute. (Operating on the reasoning that while she could have chosen not to open the parachute, why would she pack it if she wasn't planning on using it?) The man can still commit suicide by jumping, if he wants, but she can't.
This would be a similar difference as between "pre-meditated murder" and "manslaughter".

Though there are some important questions to ask that are not made obvious in the description (joke?): Did they count to three simultaneously, or one after the other? Did the man also have a parachute? Was the pact to "commit suicide [together]", or was the pact to "jump off a building?" How tall WAS this building? Were there any third parties nearby who might have given either of them pause? For example, did they leave any children behind? If life was so hard, where did the woman get the money to spend on the parachute? (Assuming lack of money was one of the problems.) Did the man in fact jump later, after he saw that his wife/significant other abandoned him to die? (That would depress me.) Were either of them on medication, and/or had serious mental problems? (Like paranoia or inability to trust.) Were penguins involved in any way whatsoever?
Analytical mind

It's the penguins! IT'S THE PENGUINS, I TELL YOU!
Sure. I'll take "analytical" mind.

Important Question. A couple decided to commit suicide. After a rough life, they decided to jump off a building. When they got to the top, they both counted to 3. The woman jumped, but the man stayed. He watched her drop for 8 seconds then saw that she pulled a parachute. Who betrayed who? post answer with your reason(s)attached

Not a hard question at all, they betrayed each other. They had a suicide pact and they both had no intention of going through with it. If there has to be only one, I would say the wife, because she had no intentions on going through with it and pre-meditated on a plan. The husband could have had a change of heart at the last minute.

He could have known ahead of time that he wasn't going to jump, either. When she jumped, she still had the option to pull the ripcord.

Did he push her?

She's lucky it was a parachute she had, cos if i had known what she was gonna do, it would've been 2 bricks in there in instead of the parachute! laugh laugh laugh
