that's a good question. perhaps if we knew pur purpose, we'd accomplish it and our time on earth would be done.

I believe my life is my witness . As the Holy Bible says " Let your life be your witness ".

But some people believe they are here to evangelise or help the poor etc..

The Holy Bible also says, we will teach in the 3rd Earth age/ paradise & have jobs....

So i'm curious, what people think they were born for & if that changes?
Mine has through out the years...

And what work in Paradise will you/ we... be "good at".. That would be our assignment.?

Each of us have different calling. OUR SOLE PURPOSE is TO PLEASE GOD. In faith, if we please God, we also experience great joy beyond words.

We know TONSSS of ways to please God, it's written all over the bible, His Word.

But how do you know what you are called to do? -- Remember the parable of the talents when God gave i think 10, 5 and 1 to respective people? This also says that when we were born and grew, God gave us the talents and skills we need to serve Him -- may it be talents in cleaning, cooking, preaching, singing, playing musical instruments, managing people, leading people or any other. However, sometimes we desire what we actually don't have which is fine as long as you constantly pray and work on what you desire to do to serve God. But why do that when you already what you need to serve God, you just need to look inside yourself and accept your God-given talent. There is no one above another, meaning a musician is not above a preacher, a preacher above a cook or cleaner/janitor or vice versa. Remember to always practice humility for those who are humble will always be served first in God's Kingdom.

I have been called to the fivefold ministry. Might I add reluctantly. I value my privacy and dont want to go there.
Paradise? I just want to sunbathe, travel, get a yacht and have plenty of horses to ride. Dont want to work as I am reluctant yet again.

our purpose on earth is simple, Believe in Jesus and accept His free gift of Salvation then spread the good news, We are the body of Christ so there is much to do here, not everyone will be expected to go out and preach to strangers but we all should share with our friends, coworkers and relatives

In Heaven we will cast our crowns at His feet and praise God. and He will wipe away any tears from your eyes

My purpose is to put a tiny little bit of what's wrong with the world, right.

Spread the love.

I believe my purpose is to complete the plan God has for my life. I don't know the full plan but I do know He reveals each part when I have completed the previous task.

I think our purpose should always be to try to win people to Christ. Jesus gave us that great commission to spread the Gospel to all nations and peoples. I think if we continually seek to do that and obey when He calls us to do that then we are fulfilling our purpose. He returned to Heaven to prepare a place for us; it's our job to bring as many people with us when we go. :)

In Paradise, I'm sure we will have a job to do in Heaven, and I believe that even when we're in Heaven we will still be able to pray for those on earth and intercede for them.

Blessings

Peculiar statement here. Since the dead in Christ shall rise first, obviously nobody since Jesus' resurrection has gone to Heaven. And what kind of "job" could there be? When God originally created us in the Garden/paradise, we didn't have jobs. We were living in a paradise. So why would we have a job in the new paradise? And again, what exactly would there be to do when speaking of a job? And why would our attention be put towards a job rather then worshiping and praising God for ever more?

Christian dead do NOT remain in the grave after death. It is a misunderstanding of scripture!

2nd Corinthians Chapter 5:
1For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

3If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.

4For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

5Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

6Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

9Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.

10For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

JESUS told the thief who repented on the cross, Today you will be with me in paradise".
