why do men cheat Why do people do anything? At the time of the decision the reward is perceived as greater than the cost or consequences. At the time of the decision it's easier to choose to just do it than think about it. And socially it's easy since we're firmly entrenched in a "it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission," culture. Technology, government and leader efforts, social media, every change (some people call advancement or progress for some reason) in social living the last few thousand years has been about making things easier. Why would anyone stick with what's hard when it's never really rewarded, at least in comparison to making the easier choice, and pretty much the entire population is working towards an easier and convenient life? How could anyone really make a hard choice to forgo immediate gratification for long term considerations when, in general, they are trained not to and their very life in every sense is set up to not have to? Other than that, if someone is in "love" with you their basic biological functions and drives or needs and wants are not just switched off and replaced with the magic power of love focused solely on you, burning away what makes them a biological creature to become a product of the relationship rather than still an individual.
