Never make fun of someone who speaks broken English.
It means they know another language.
Even I know 3 more languages (Urdu, Pushto and Hindi) but English is always tough to speak.

You may have a valid point and yet when while I was learning Russian I got a lot of teasing about how bad I spoke it or understood it.

I speak many different languages and yet doesn't mean I don't murder my own each and everyday..

You can either choose to laugh when people give you a bad time or you can feel put down.

Me I choose to embrace my mistakes and become better.

Choice is yours..

There's no guarantee that the person speaking broken English isn't just bad at speaking English.

I can't tell you how often I hear someone say something similar to:
"Supposably I could of...ya know? Cuz I axed em and theys says I can. For reals it's superballs awesome sauce. So's imma make me a sammich and gets an English major degree online and that."

Also, Yakov Smirnoff made it okay to laugh at people speaking broken English.
You can't just slough off deep cultural training like that.

I don't make fun of people who speak broken English, even if they DON'T know another language.

I do like to make fun of people who speak English extremely well, right up until they put their feet in their mouths. Especially the ones who are using their erudition and superb diction to sneer at others.

Few things funnier than an inadvertent double entendre, in the middle of a serious rant.

You have a valid point and it's a well known fact that any given AMERICAN can provide you with as many 'SLANG' {demographically} sounding even for the simple words like 'OUR'...we the pot & kettle should never poke at others!

My husband was 'CANADIAN' and told me my 'ENGLISH' was horrid!

I always was getting hung up on Musician & Magician and he couldn't say Vinegar Dressing > it came out..."Winegar Dressing"

The example I like to use to partially demonstrate my dialect of english is to say:

"Depending on how far to the far made of tar and tars I might get tarred agittenar." Ya foller me?

My buddy comes from a foreign country and always speaks of his "willage"...when we want a good laugh, he'll practice saying "Volkswagen Van Wheels"

Keep Calm

and

***Curry On

***That's how I pronounce "carry" plus it is a play on words. No offense, brother.

Don't let us discourage you, Sameer...english is tough to learn as it has too many pronunciations for the same letter groupings.

Besides, some women find broken english cute!

Using terms like "Never" is going to get you in trouble here because I can promise you if someone is taking the time to bump your thread by saying something funny they are doing you a favor and double, tripling, or more your views. This IS a dating/social site and no views you are dead in the water.

Are some being malicious. Yea there is a rotten apple in every barrel; but if you take a little hazing with out getting mad about it people will figure out what you are trying to say and maybe even help you.

English speakers world wide razz each other. And yes it can be a very tough language to master because whatever neighborhood it is spoken in has it's own vocabulary/slang. I have lived all over the USA and a couple places in Canada and I assure you English in one zone sounds way different than in another. It is practically a national past time razzing people and much of at least American humor is based on word play. I doubt that is unique to here.

But I can pretty much guarantee you if you have to let something rip in another language to back up whatever you are saying someone is likely to know what you are trying to say and help you out. I know just Hindi for example is represented in every major city. Two families speak it within a hundred yards from my door. My guess is there are thousands in Mingleland world wide. Start a thread and find out.

And if you are a willing teacher more will understand your languages. And culture. You want to improve your English you first have to make friends that want to help you. FOrget the folks that don't.

I don't make fun of those who don't speak English well, however

I do expect those who visit a site set up in English to grasp it well enough to be understood,,unless the are on asking for others to help them get better with their English,,,lol
