Do virtual relationship exists?

Sure.
If you define "relationship" as just how two or more things interact.
...Which I do.

lots of people are on such a websites looking for date...some might don't want to meet in person...but they are interested being into the relations those arise from internet chat....they want somebody to have for them just for talk, share, and just want to love the person but only through online chat

Lot's of people treat their pets like their children.
Dressing them up, feeding them food that will ultimately kill the pet, talking to them as though the pet was just a baby that can't talk yet.

Lots' of people want shallow relationships they can rationalize are deeper and more meaningful than they actually are so as to avoid the potential risks and effort required of real human adult relationships.

But really, the important thing is, do you want that kind of relationship?

If you are fulfilled by it, go for it.

If not, avoid those people like the plague they are, is my opinion.

I assume you mean 'romantic' relationships ?

Myself, romance in cyber-
No way, I would never attempt it & never considered it. Sure some might say it is my generation, but I don't think so. I know myself & an internet/ electronic relationship could NOT ever be enough.

I like certain sites for messaging.
And certain sites for forums.
And I have done this for years.

There are very, very few people I have actual conversations with on the phone from cyber.
'I compartmentalize.

Cyber Friends
Message Friends
Phone Friends
Associates
Friends -Real
Friends - Good
Friends -Best

Male friends
,Dating
Lover,
Committed

virtual life is expanding , and it will soon create a "parallel" atmosphere that works together with real life , as we witness the radical development of this virtual life aspects and "instruments" , like cellphones and its social networks applications .... so yes , virtual relationships do exist , and is replacing reality relations rapidly , just notice how many people ( especially younger ones ) got to know each other using the internet .

The main reason people usually ask a question like this, is that they are asking something else entirely.

The REAL question is, can purely VIRTUAL relationship, fulfill all the longings, hungers, desires, and life goals that people look for an OFFLINE, so-called "real life " (just fyi, it's ALL real life, folks!) relationship.

The answer to that, is a firm and easy "no." Not unless all you really waned to begin with, was a virtual relationship.

But you know what interesting question is REALLY behind this more common one? Much more fascinating. It is "what IS love, really, after all?"

That's not for this little thread to deal with, though.

Yes I think online relationships exist. Some are just fellowship and in some way s fantasy because seems relationships imply a little more interaction than can come through a keyboard but for many that is sometimes the reality of their existence. Isolation, incarceration, poverty, only available employment, education, health restraints are only
a few of the reasons people get "stuck" on line for relationships.

I actually think there are a few that do only want online. It is certainly convienant to be able to control your availability, edit some of the less desirable factors of your presentation, and have immediate escape from the relationship with the delete key.

Sad what it says about modern relationships that we seem to resort to such altered realities to have such a fragile definition of a relationship.

Think many people enjoy talking with family and friends online
many have jobs with access to computer and enjoy public forums on favorite hobbies or someplace to discuss issues in news
many have chat threads like we have here where you get to know one another and joke around and share things going on in your life

yes and they always have, but back in the day they weren't called virtual relationships. ....they were called "pen pals" now if communication is all you ever want then possibly it may fill your needs but most likely not

Why you would want online relationship without ever intending to meet..
hmmm
think lure would be that you could create an entirely new you
if that is what you wanted
for instance if you are kinda nerdy or shy in real life and have a hard time approaching an attractive woman
then online you could be confident and outspoken..

online or virtual relationships..hmm... a very complex question.... on one hand lol.. they are very convenient for the users.. If time and distance is a factor... after texting and emailing for some time... you think you are developing a sense.. a understanding of the person you are..
. virtually dating.... you send texts . pictures and maybe just maybe a bit of their voice from time to time...
..... they slowly become part of the fabric of your life.... you eagerly wait to hear from.them.. there beautiful words...
... there affection towards you!..
... you may even reach a point.. where the both of you are comfortable enough... to really turn each other on..

.... but in that! lays the problem... when all the ..mmmm..and ohhh..and aaahhaa... is over.... you just turn each other off.... And you find yourself alone!.. in your space.!.. once again!..
.. you are still left with the yearning the need the desire..

. for physical touch.. and contact...
.. it then becomes easy.. to start to question the real motive behind... such a online relationship..

.. that need for human contact never really leaves..us. .

.
