It seems like every time I turn on the news, I find out that another deranged murderer has targeted a group of unarmed citizens in a so-called "Gun Free Zone."

Schools, churches, movie theaters, and even military sites -- all "Gun Free Zones," or more accurately called "Criminal Safety Zones."

In each case, the bloodthirsty criminals targeted them because they were assured the largest number of defenseless victims with the smallest risk of being stopped.

In the past few weeks alone there have been no fewer than FOUR separate attacks on innocent, forcibly unarmed victims in these "gun-free" Criminal Safety Zones.

It's time to put an end to these pockets of defenselessness like gun free zones, and for the liberals to quit trying to disarm law abiding citizens with their idiotic attacks on our 2nd amendment rights and the tools (guns, ammo, clips, and the right to open or conceal carry) needed for our own self defense!

they would rather go from House to House confiscating all the Firearms than rescind those Zones!
They are an essential part of their attempted Gun-grab!

Well the other day where I work. I work in front of that is there is the building. I do not work in this hotel. The hotel is a called economy Inn. In the hotel it self it has hooker and well pimps too. But anyway last week somebody was well shot in that hotel five time I heard. I mean it is worst hotel there is in Louisville. It is hot place for activity such as that.I will not be surprise if there is drug activities as well. I heard about on news or any other place. But anyway I will not surprise if there is fire there. It is bad place to a be in general. I honest think we should be well allow to carried some form of protection because some of those people from that hotel come to a place of business. When I heard about the shooting I thought of asking for pepper spray or some protection because of how bad it is to a protect myself. The guy was arrest who had done shooting but still make you wonder maybe I should start caring sting gun or something to a work because I honest do not what those people in that hotel is a going to a do. I honest thought they would close it down since that shooting. It would be well the right thing to a do.

so, almost 30,000 incidents of gun violence of which

and your solution is to increase the number of weapons to be carried, openly or concealed by the general public ?
yeah, that makes a lot of sense...........more guns = less death....

I'm afraid of getting a gun. With the way my life is going, I might use it on myself.

Makes me wonder how many deaths were avoided by some one having a gun or potentially having one? But 30,000 incidents and the number of deaths combined is miniscule for a population of over 300,000,000 people.

The only statistics that matter are how many of those incidents were carried out with illegally carried firearms and which ones were carried out by the legal owner of the firearm.

I'll be waiting patiently..

Yea, and how many illegals carried those illegal firearms were not the legal owner, legally. They were probably carried illegally by illegals to commit illegal acts.noway

The undocumented immigrants didn't have the proper documentation, but if that undocumented immigrant was accompanied by an unaccompanied minor then the documentation for the undocumented was unnecessary.

and that would place a lot of undue legal documentation on the undocumented illegal, correct?

Governer Rick Perry said today, when asked about the 2nd amendment, stated that gun violence has dropped dramatically in Texas since the concealed carry law was passed. The liberals said the exact opposite would happen.

So ... yes, more guns by the general law abiding public does mean less violence.

I bought a concealed carry vest last weekend.

Criminals look for soft targets. Lower the number of soft targets and crime will go down.

this is actually a misleading correlation

states have laws, and so do cities, and feds

because people cant legally get a gun in one city (within a state) doesnt mean they cant get them in an outlying city

these same correlations are made in other places where crime HAPPENS to have decreased with stricter legislation

how does one know where 'soft targets' will be?

in any population , in public, there is the chance someone is carrying a gun

in most 'crimes' there is there chance the victim has a weapon

in the last year, two people carrying guns have had a 'rage' incident after a TRAFFIC run in, end up in a shooting

we have too many impulsive people with paranoia and low 'rage' threshholds to nonchalantly arm everyone with any and every possible thing a manufacturer can dream up,,,

A soft target is anywhere that a criminal can reasonably assume there will be no trained persons carrying a firearm.

I think we have seen with all the bloodbaths in schools and theaters that places with limited escape routes and large numbers of people are pretty soft..

Unless you have a cop stationed in every classroom or every theater some nut can get in and massacre everyone.

Plus they put phucking signs up saying its a gun free zone...

Yes, the police today are besieged by rising crime. I would bet that most of the one's doing rage don't have CHL's. Road rage, Car jackings and home invasions. People can't count on police to be there every time.

It seems like every time I turn on the news, I find out that another deranged murderer has targeted a group of unarmed citizens in a so-called "Gun Free Zone."

Oh...I read the first 3/4 of that and thought you were going to talk about the U.S. bombing the middle east or something.

It's time to put an end to these pockets of defenselessness like gun free zones

I don't think it matters.
Anyone with a modicum of intelligence isn't going to believe a sign makes them safe (as an aside, there is no guarantee if everyone was armed that all the mass shootings wouldn't have turned out the same way or worse).

They aren't "pockets of defenselessness." The majority of people just don't carry. Even here in AZ where people can carry however they want whatever they want (procured legally).

Might as well say "it's time to put an end to these pockets of anarchy and remove speed limit signs! Police find that speeding over the limit is a factor in almost all accidents and fatal accidents!"

IME most people drive with the flow of traffic and only care about the signs when there are cops around.

Signs don't create safety or take safety away.

for the liberals to quit trying to disarm law abiding citizens

Do you realistically believe that will ever happen?

we have too many impulsive people with paranoia and low 'rage' threshholds to nonchalantly arm everyone

I'm not sure anyone is advocating to "arm everyone."

Not like create a program where at birth you are handed a social security card and a firearm, or send out a pistol with the census form.

There's a huge difference between "nonchalantly arm everyone" and not allowing the government power to decide and enforce who is and isn't allowed to arm themselves.
