Topic: HOW MUCH DISTANCE IS TO MUCH DISTANCE?

How far are you willing to go to meet someone? Where do you draw the line so to speak? How far are you willing to travel to meet someone you met online?

Why should I be the one to do the traveling?

I've already done the task of traveling all the way from planet Melmac to live on this galactic trailer park called planet Earth.

So, another should do the traveling for a change.

"But i would walk 500 miles
And i would walk 500 more
Just to be that gal
Who walked a thousand miles
To fall down at your door"

~ The Proclaimers

Sing with me!!!

huh If you want these Humans here to sing with you, then obviously you have never heard them sing before.

Long distance relationships are a waste of (my) time. I can't speak for anyone else, but if I have to go more than maybe 50 miles, it's not worth the trouble. Plus trying to travel in these mountains is hell in winter.laugh

I have driven hundreds of miles to meet a guy I didn't know very well. They didn't drive 1 mile to meet me. Never again.

How far are you willing to go to meet someone? Where do you draw the line so to speak? How far are you willing to travel to meet someone you met online?

I'm not searching for anyone,
but I have often thought it would be interesting to meet mingle members who participate in the forums.
like I know one of our regular ladies lives in Sacramento or near there. and a member who doesn't come on here often lives in the bay area.
when I'm in their area I think it would be nice to meet in person with this person we share a lot with in the forums.

You should suggest that to them then, they might want to meet you, too.

travel? well thatt's a tough one. since i only have 10% site, I would ask they come to me. Thing is I think you should both agree on if any one is to move its them. Not me, since I know my way around my city.

Thing is , where do they stay. sharing the bill of travel and accommodation seems very fair. In time they might move in or just flee for there life! lol. .

flowerforyou if it doesn't seem possible that we will ever meet and then explore the possibility of one of us moving then it is too farflowerforyou

I agree with the ones who say it depends weather I can afford to move and if it is someplace I want to move. Some places would be out of the question.

Example I love to visit New York City but I would not live there and deal with the climate for love nor money.

For meeting? I usually don't drive more than 7 kilometers ... Men come to my area to see me. I got an old car, I don't do long distance drives with it no more.

If it concerns someone from across the big pool of water ... I don't mind travelling, as long as he pays the bill. Not cos I'm cheap, but I simply haven't got money to spend.

In the past, when I still had a good income, and my car was still new, I didn't really care.

(not a pickup line)... Having read your profile and your posts... anyone not willing to travel the Earth to meet you is not good enough for you anyway.

I've driven 1500 miles just to eat lunch with someone, and once drove over 300 miles just to get stood up, so, I'd say anywhere I can get to via the road is fair game.

I will only travel in the southern states of the USA to be with a woman. The southern states stay warmer in the winter
