Just a weird thing that sometimes has me confused ... so I'm thinking, let's confuse you too, lol

If you'd say "I do that every Thursday night"
Then one would logically think about somewhere from 7 pm-ish onward. Even 2 am would still be considered Thursday night, right? While technically that would be Friday night.
Meaning Thursday night could also be anything between midnight and 4 am-ish. So very early on the Thursday.

Like right now it's 1 AM, 5 Nov, meaning it is Thursday. Yet, I still call this Wednesday night.

Isn't that all a mite confusing?

This is why I don't work nights unless I absolutely have to. The day is what ever day I woke up on and that day doesn't not end until I go to bed, ie It's still Wednesday until I go to sleep, even if it's 7:00 am Friday morning!!
And yes I have done that.

I am like most here. If I wake up at 2 am and can't go back to sleep then it is morning. Time to make coffee... If I go to sleep at 8 pm then it is night.

Then I'd say "I woke up in the middle of the night".

But then there's another confusing one ... would you then say "I woke up tonight" OR .. "I woke up last night?"

I seriously do not know ohwell Don't know in English nor in my own lingo.

Ever since I am in graveyard shift/night shift I am very particular with time.

If it is past 12AM, it is morning for me.
6PM to 11:59PM is still evening.

Say first coffee break is 9:45PM to 10PM-
Sometimes I will still opt for an orange juice or
fruit shakes, because it is still evening hahaha

Say lunch break is 12:45AM to 01:45AM
Most of the time, I will opt for breakfast food
to get me through the shift.

Say 2nd coffee break is 3:45AM to 4AM
Most of the time, I will prefer black coffee.

it is really subjective and semantics. but the only one in your op i would correct you on would be the early wee hours
1 am on the 5th would be thursday morning however like most if you were still up it would still be to night or last night you are talking about. "we went to see the band and spent all night dancing and didn't get home til dawn"

What about the girl who went to the party and said, "If I am not in bed by ten o'clock, I am going go home" shocked
