Ive been on and off for three years plus with online dating. I have yet to meet a man that matches his profile. Many of the profiles indicate that they are seeking a relationship, but their actions are purely sex driven. The deception, the disappointment, its just weighing down on me. I just want to share my huge heart with a man who embraces it for the long term. Is this just no longer available? A fantasy I have to give up.on?

Let me see...

Divorced mother seeks... --> baggage, and tons of it.
Wants a "man forever" right from the start --> puts weight on the relationship even before the first meeting.
donΒ΄t say you have been on and off online dating --> a man might hear "sleeping around"

...at a first glance.

in short: present yourself differently, and men might accept the challenge.

Congratulations! You're the billionth person on planet earth to ask this question. There is no short answer especially since we do not know what your expectations are besides finding a man who is in for the long term.

However, know that you will not find someone perfect for you. What you can find is someone whose imperfections are a fit with your imperfections...

Never give up...that one person can be right there after all your disappointments.

We have all had time online, disappointments, and been disheartened that we will never find the perfect person sad

So I suggest not taking it a serious for a bit, have some fun on the forums, play some of the games, add your 2 cents to the mix, and maybe search some profiles and message them with some questions that are important to you!

Might just be time to play it different if you are not content?

Good luck and keep trying!happy

All you can do is focus on you. Make sure you are in a good place in your life, you don't seem desperate, and don't give up. All of us that are not happily married have to work hard to overcome some challenge/flaw/obstacle in hopes of finding "the one." Press on.

Well I'm only here for some good conversation, but that's all I'm here for. This means my motives will NEVER be sexual, unfortunately if you looking for more then friends that will NEVER happen ether. But don't take that personally I just don't do that with anyone, trust me if you got to know me you'd understand.

Out in the so-called Real World, 99.999% of the people I meet anywhere, aren't looking for a new mate.

Despite the Online world being packed with liars, scammers, and crazy desperate people, they are almost all at least CLAIMING to be looking.

I suggest we accept that panning for gold involves digging through a lot of mud, and just keep going.

After all, it's not as though giving up will cause us to lose our hunger for a mate.

I think it is outrageous that anyone thinks that they have to sell themselves out and become a sexual or financial doormat for another person.

You don't want to be the bottom of the barrel you have to lift yourself up with good choices. Maybe that is staying in school or returning to school, stopping nasty habits, living within your means, and maybe putting your wants behind your needs and even thinking ahead about long term needs. I find it ridiculous that any non custodial parent does not pay child support and be required to provide shelter, education, and medical care or be subject to the same punishments and leans. No parent should be held hostage in dysfunctional or abusive relationships and no parent should be working two and three jobs when fast food franchise owners swim in wealth. People need to vote not only on a ballot but also with their dollars.

Much of the reason that people are exploiting others is because they are being allowed to. No people can use you if you keep your drawers up and your wallet closed. If more people would demand that honesty and responsibility be a bottom line and kick to the curb, and leave at the curb, those who are not demonstrating such responsibility then you would see a turn around of behavior. If someone can't get laid, can't get freebies help, can't get a drivers license if they neglect their responsibilities and because they choose to be a bum, neglect their kids, and break the law with real punishments then don't kid yourself they will modify their behavior.

What knocks me out is the scammers and the Frog Prince Association All Stars just continue to go unreported, ignored or be temporary diversions on the down low when they clearly have track records that show what they are under the guise of privacy or just letting other people "do their thing" with impunity.

But I guarantee you if some good looking newbie comes on her flashing T&A&$'s the mailbox will melt down before anyone asks even the most basic qualifiers.

Men are sex driven that's a surprise NOT, being telling that to my friend for a few years since she joined mingles.
Could tell you a few things that have happened to her on this site but I won't, she was to trusting but she's learned not to be now.
Some men will lie and say anything to get it pathetic losers don't like men much myself to the point that have no male friends.

OP, just have to keep looking. Try perhaps just having casual conversation with someone who perhaps captures your interest, and see where the conversation goes. Not all of us guys are just looking for sex.
Good luck. drinker
