What's interesting is how many celebrities aren't just shunning his parties but are actually cancelling out on appearances if Trump shares the stage. Jimmy Kimmel had Trump on as his only guest a few nights ago after all his other guests refused to appear.

Shows you just how much of a pariah Trump is. =) And in front of a nationwide audience too.

And he thinks he's going to be president. ROTFL.

It actually shows that the other guests are closed minded cowards who participate in "liberal group think" and won't go face to face with someone they don't agree with. Kind of like the way Hillary won't go face to face with any media that doesn't slant left.

I'm not a Trump fan but he doesn't avoid being confronted face to face by those who don't agree with him.

Standard result of the capitalist business model.

The politics of the people with control of your paycheck ALWAYS make you nervous about your public support for things they don't like.

This is the same reason why a lot of us were upset to realize that employers will now look at our Facebook pages, to decide things like who to hire, and who to give a raise to or not.

Plus remember, this is people who are in to thinking that they are being persecuted.

Back in the old days, it was very "in" to pretend to think that being a lefty would get you persecuted (memories of Blacklisting days) in Hollywood. Now it's "in" to pretend that the reason you don't get a part is because you like Trump, and not because you gained twenty pounds, or gained a reputation for being difficult to work with or whatever.

Little Pions across the globe are saying they don't like Thrump..because they are so important & influential to Americans voters.... Wait.. rofl ... ....Okay I am done laughing.
So that is real.. But Hollywood is pretending, because bit is the 'in' thing? noway

The sad thing is, (you & I have seen enough elections to know), this chaos did NOT exist before.( And it doesn't exist now because of Trump).

Personal life & personal choices are being removed. What use to be private. What use to be a taboo subject (family, heath, religion, political affiliation.. etc), is GONE & choices & personal beliefs & lifestyles are NO longer respected.
Everything has become, everyone else's business. sad

First, I don't know who ir what "Thrump" is. I can't figure out what you are saying about the pions.

Which part of "this chaos" are you referring to? I agree, this is the weirdest election cycle I have seen in my lifetime. But elements of it have happened many times. Hollywood people have actively participated for and against both right and left wingers many times, and for and against each party. So that much is quite normal.

Part of it IS the way it is now, because of Trump, but I would blame most of that on the way that the Republican Party has behaved since about 1978. That's approximately when they decided to try to win elections almost entirely by telling upset people to blame the Democrats, rather than because the GOP had specific better solutions. They pretended to care about certain issues that the Democrats were vulnerable on, but never actually did care.

They worked very hard to build a majority almost entirely out of a coalition of angry people. Since they hinted to their constituents that they would address what the angry people were upset about, but never did do anything about those issues, they made themselves wide open to a Trump-style attack, wherein Trump specifically says he WILL do what the rest of the GOP has been pretending to want to do for the last thirty years.

And because the GOP trained the bulk of it's supporters to respond to anger and fear, rather than to reason, Trump chose bombast, rudeness, and various other anger-related modes to communicate his messages.

So no, I agree, it's not Trumps fault.

As for the loss if privacy, that's definitely due to a LOT of people doing stuff for sometimes opposite reasons. The Democrats, especially the old-style liberal wing, wants to expose the details of peoples' private lives in order to guilt trip them in to behaving differently; and the Republicans want to expose the details of everyone (except their own) private lives, for the sake of private business profits.

Since we're being whipped by pretty much everyone from every side, we're going to lose.

Elijah Wood started working in Hollywood when he was just 8 years old, and he's seen a lot of the dark side of the industry. In an interview with London's Sunday Times, he says that child stars in Hollywood often become victims of "vipers" who sexually abuse them.

He said his mother protected him from becoming a victim himself, but he knows he's one of the lucky ones. "From my reading and research, I've been led down dark paths to realize that these things probably are still happening," he said. "[There are] a lot of vipers in this industry, […] there is darkness in the underbelly."

Elijah added that he worries for the child stars of today, because he thinks these abusive situations are still going on. "If you're innocent, you have very little knowledge of the world and you want to succeed, people with parasitic interests will see you as their prey," he said. "What upsets me about these situations is that the victims can't speak as loudly as the people in power."

Lately, former child stars have come out of hiding to talk about the problem of pedophilia. Several years ago, Corey Feldman said he was "surrounded" by child molesters when he got his start. BizParents, an organization that tries to protect child actors, is spreading the word and calling out Hollywood for protecting abusers. "We believe Hollywood is currently sheltering about 100 active abusers," co-founder Anne Henry told the newspaper. "The tsunami of claims has begun. This problem has been endemic in Hollywood for a long time and it's finally coming to light."

It's not just the Dems who protect sexual deviants. Dennis Hastert was known to be preying on underage pages in Congress, and the Republicans did nothing about it, because he was high up in their ranks.

If the pedophiles you refer to really needed Democrats all that much, or electing Republicans would put them at risk, then the five-to-four term control that the GOP had over the country since 1980, should have swept them all out already.

Unfortunately, just like the VA hospital mess, NEITHER party has gone after those horrible people the way that is required.

that's the 'cost' of freedom of expression

theres freedom from legal consequences,, not personal or public ones

Humm.. I see your point like the SheDem who was left on the highway, by the HeReb..tow truck owner. ..got it. .And the traumatized BratDems college students who had to see & wash chalk marks off, bearing the name of your future President.

Hhhaa... Got it.

Another one for the, double standard & hypocrisy archives.

what is the double standardlaugh

I just stated a fact

the price of freedom of expression is the freedom of others to express their reaction to your expression

I don't personally look to indviduals to agree with everything I think, so I don't tend to hold celebrities to some standard of having to support what I support

if they are good at their craft, I am going to enjoy it,, , their personal opinions and life has nothing to do with it

but not everyone is that way,, and they will certainly condemn a person absolutely for a dissenting opinion, action, or mistake

Nope, false. You are pandering to "slippery slope" propaganda.

Not even ONE person, not already a member of NAMBLA, has proposed that PEDOPHILES be allowed to do anything they wish, or use any bathroom they wish.

I think the bathroom thing is wrongheaded as well, but not because I have any paranoid notion that "next it will be pedophiles" or anything nonsensical like that.

I think it's stupid, because

1) it makes everyone else feel bad, in order to try to make one group feel less bad;

2) more than anything else, it doesn't even help the people it's supposed to help. People who don't feel comfortable in a mens room because they know they don't feel like a man, aren't going to feel comfortable in a room where they know that they are under the scrutiny of a lot of OTHER people who neither look like them, or want to be around them.

Celebs Want to Attend Trump Fundraiser But Fear Retaliation from Liberal Hollywood

Several celebrities and Hollywood executives have expressed interest in attending a fundraiser for Donald Trump in Los Angeles this week but fear possible professional consequences from their liberal colleagues in the entertainment industry, a report claims.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, a number of celebrities have attempted to gain entrance to Wednesday night’s pricey fundraiser for the presumptive GOP presidential nominee for free — not because they cannot afford it, but because paying for admission would require their names to be made public in campaign finance reports.

The names of the celebrities are not mentioned in the report.

Trump is scheduled to attend a fundraiser at the Los Angeles home of Tom and Rachelle Barrack Wednesday night in what is expected to be the beginning of a concerted fundraising push by the candidate ahead of the November general election. Trump’s Democrat rival Hillary Clinton holds a large lead in fundraising, as the billionaire businessman has largely financed his primary run with his own money.

THR reports that there is expected to be a “small Hollywood presence” at Wednesday night’s fundraiser, including a “prominent TV producer” and a “former studio head,” though the report does not mention their names.

Republican- and conservative-leaning celebrities are reportedly fearful that their support of Trump could lead to negative professional consequences for their careers in notoriously liberal Hollywood. No such qualms exist for celebrities supporting Clinton, whose names are often reported in advance of fundraisers to lend the events star-studded approval.

“This town will get vicious to those who support Trump,” one unnamed filmmaker told THR of celebrities’ reluctance to be connected to the GOP frontrunner’s campaign. “It’s not that Hollywood Republicans are cheap. In the end, they’ll contribute, but they want to wait as long as possible.”

Lionel Chetwynd, co-founder of the “secret” Hollywood conservative group Friends of Abe, predicted to THR that celebrities and entertainment figures will eventually contribute to Trump, but that it would be a “mistake” to contribute so soon in the process due to the threat of professional consequences.

A small number of entertainment figures have already openly pledged to support Trump, including actors Jon Voight, Robert Davi and Scott Baio, musician Kid Rock and Duck Dynasty stars Phil and Willie Robertson.

Both Hillary Clinton and her Democrat rival, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, were in California this week for campaign events and fundraisers.

http://www.breitbart.com/big-hollywood/2016/05/24/report-celebs-trying-get-trump-fundraiser-free-avoid-publicly-disclosing-support/

This stuff always amazed me. Does anyone really care who Scott Baio and kid rock want for president .. or any other political office.. So, we now care what some of the cast of "Happy Days" thinks about Trump.. or anyone else.

Are they going to roll out the Fonz next?

My plumber is a funny guy.. cracks me up at times.. but I could care less who he is voting for and he could care less who I am voting for.

What does these entertainers endorsement really mean?.. who really gives a s*** what their political view is.

some people gain respect of others by their actions and words,, those people can be common or famous, and I understand being interested in the opinions of those who have gained such respect

I don't understand judging and punishing every area of their life and livelihood over opinions unrelated to their jobs

Stars are that which shines in the night sky but to disappear with the dawn of a new day.

Celebrities are but those to whom the unwashed masses take unto themselves as being above all others to cover up for a life of little consequence.

But to really care what those "stars" and "celebrities" think about that all encompassing religion, statism is the lowest of them all.
