Based on the youtube videos of black friday fights over t.v.'s, or just wal-mart fights, not to mention overhearing so many people say "too many idiots on the planet!" it seems saying "women are more intelligent than men" isn't really saying much.

Other than that, higher intelligence doesn't necessarily equate to better decisions or behavior.

People are driven to act on their emotions far more than they choose to act according to their intelligence.


Development comes after people ask questions and think about the answers.
Desire makes people do stuff.
Development comes after the emotional impetus for it.

Really, though, relative intelligence is one of the many subjects that gets abused commonly these days. Some people praise one group over another, others declare that one group is naturally handicapped relative to another.

But most of the time, the people making such declarations have an ulterior agenda in making their claims. Sometimes they hope for praise from the group they are patting on the back, other times they are trying to comfort themselves, for being "insightful" enough to recognize that their own entire group is "defective."

A lot of the problem with this, is that intelligence isn't a single set thing, which can be measured as easily as is often suggested. In addition, the world is full of true stories of the very most intelligent members of society, making the most damaging and egregious blunders of all.
