suspension for the bad choice
along with an assignment to learn about the seriousness of assassination

Wait, what???

Assignments to learn the seriousness of capital murder?

MsH, Seriously? They're ti16 years old! noway

yes, and their brain is still developing and able to learn

they know 'media' , and not enough 'reality',,still time to show them the difference

e same argument could be made as an adult. This is a serious sign of sociopathy or even psychopathy.

If this were about Obama and not Trump you would be singing a different tune.

actually, a PATTERN would be required to determine those things, not a singular incident

and if it were anyone, I would have the same opinion

And do you project your views on your " students" or do you just shut up because you want to get paid for your services.

I am more of the mind to LISTEN then to dictate,,,listen for the need or the question and try to satisfy it

The America wherein I grew up realized that words don't hurt and fingers aren't loaded. Therefore, the only appropriate measure in determining illegal/censurable activity is whether you've physically harmed someone, stolen from them or destroyed their property. Everything else is PC BS.

Nice to see someone has common sense. We don't even know what message these kids were trying to get across and people are convicting them without a trial. Cry "WOLF" every time you see something YOU don't like. There is no "WOLF" here, and its wasting resources for when the wolf actually does show up. People are quick to want to take freedoms away from others, but when it comes to your freedoms you think you should be untouchable. PC has gone too far with people pushing.their own agenda. Kid have their own way of dealing with people that offend them. There will always be groups in schools like the jocks, burnouts, nerds, etc. There will never be a day when everyone gets along in one big group. Its the same as there will always be rich and poor. Fake guns will always be fake. There will always be a way for kids to spread their message even if you don't allow.them to wear clothing with messages on them. A lot of people have made it with a lot less rules than what they have today. We've come to the point where we are raising a generation of whimps that have no coping skills.

The school system should expel the little basterds,
and profile them as "terrorists".

Just like they do the kids, who draw pictures of guns,
point their fingers and make "bang" noises, or even bring
gun shaped bubble blowers.

Not profile them as terrorist, they should be on the Secret Service watch list. The FBI's BAU believe it or not is not like what you see on TV's Criminal Minds, it is broken up into 5 Unit's and one of them is a threat assessment unit that handles cases like this all day every day. At the very list one of those Agents should be sitting down with these criminals.

The school system, should treat the two little basterds,
equally & fairly, to other students who have mimicked gun violence.
Expel them, and profile them as terrorists.

What happened to zero tolerance?.. is that now not PC?.. so the schools soften the stance as not to offend anyone.. is that what it has come down to?

I remember one of my sons having a argument with another kid in high school.. in the hallway. My son made the mistake of telling the other kid " your a dead man after school". Of course what he meant was, that he was going to kick the kids a** after school.

It was a big deal.. very big deal. the school suspended him, superintendent of schools got involved.. a councilor and of course us...a big deal. All because of the words that came out of his mouth

Zero tolerance.

So where did that go?

it went wherever trends go when media stops reporting on them

a threat against a person to that person is a bit different than a fictional skit about killing

but, actions have consequences and the latter should also be dealt with appropriately

Not necessarily. The only problem is that all teenagers profile as sociopaths that why they have professionals who deal with it.

So am I, I am a trained and certified Investigator, Interviewer and Interrogator with Wicklander-Zulawski and Reed which were both formed by former profilers, err Behavior Analysts. Usually about 15-20 minutes into and interview I can tell what the deal is and if it is going to go into an interrogation.

Actually I was talking to a friend of mine who used to be the Attorney General here in Nevada and he said the FBI is definitely involved, but discreetly because they are minors. He said ever since Columbine any incident like this gets looked into very seriously.

I always taught my daughter if she started a fight or threatened another kid we were going to have problems, but at the same time if she was ever stepped up to she was to back up and tell them to back off and if still approached take them down. I started teaching her defensive tactics at 10 years old.

Neither one of us can tell if it's fiction or not. It could be a threat, but we do not know the whole story, and I don't think we ever will.

""This is a set of a spoon, fork and knife for toddlers -- one year old," Andrea Souto said. "It is made for children to learn how to eat properly. She's used it since she was baby."

People are pretty proud of making up rules and enforcing them. The thing is we've also come to a point where students can ruin a teachers career with no proof too. Zero tolerance to weapons has to determine what a weapon, a gun, a knife consists of. Its beyond the point of common sense. At some point and time we have to trust children to use tools as they were made to be used for. In the 13yrs that a child is in school I will bet there could have been a reason to suspend or expel at least 90% of them at some point and time if we really want to nit pick every little thing. Are we just looking for a reason to kick our kids out of school? What's even sadder is the time and resources that could have gone to something better. Are we to the point where we have to home school or online schooling because we are so afraid of the real world? You have that option but don't drag my children down while you are doing it, at some point they have to leave the nest and deal with the real world.

We could trust students pre Columbine.
