On House or Senate hearings, they usually say "Do you swear or affirm...", so I'm sure courts do the same.

Hummm do they even use a bible in court at all anymore???
The one and only time I had to testify on a jury case all they did was asked me to raise my right hand to promise that I would tell the truth and the whole truth ect.. on questions that I would be asked... |

Swearing on a bible is long gone in most courts. I've been in courts many times (no, only very rarely as a defendant) and I have NEVER seen anyone bring out a Bible to swear on.

I never looked a the law ... as innocent as I thought after... + I was on a jury that decided if the case ... was to go to trial... I don't remember the bible used for anything ... we where just deciding a lot of cases in one day ... runaway jury ... https://youtu.be/c80vGyzA0LI |
