Hi Pretty, I'd like to know you.. or any other such line with the word 'Pretty'.. scammers...
But it got me thinking about a guy coming up to me and saying 'hey beautiful, what book are you reading?'.. (which has actually happened)..
Is/are the words pretty and beautiful a regional thing..? I noticed in some US states, they call everyone 'darlin' or 'honey' (hmm.. maybe that's more the females saying that..)

Oh man, you mean those guys were just trying to scam me and don't really think I'm pretty? BUMMER!!!
rofl rofl

I get those messages all the time. And yes, I too started giving it more thought. At work it's quite usual for someone to address you as; hun, sweetie, darling, etc...and we think nothing of it. But when it comes to online dating and not actually being face to face, it suddenly seems to be a strange behavior and we become suspicious....at least I have.

There are people ho actually talk like that in the u.s. more in some regions than others.
There are also women who approach men the same way.
If you take a moment to explore a little you can see what's real and what's phony

I think its rude to say those words to any woman. I think it just " smacks" of a lounge lizard type guy

I have pet name for my Sweetie.
I'd feel like an arse saying them to anyone else.
Apparently, lots of men like that arse feeling.

I don't mind being called pretty.

Personally; I hate being called something familiar when the other person is a stranger to me but I try to understand that it is a regional thing and fight the urge to smack the person. LOL

Op I used to always be errr ... when someone called me honey or babe sweetheart along those lines even in public with women to ... but know I just try and ignore it ... I call someone love ... but that is what some call each other in other country's... I call some sweethearts ...
but only in a friendly way ...when I go and post on their topics...

just means endearing to me... know one has ever said don't call me that ... but I know ...I have sometimes ... with someone...
I don't know at all ...
