I was, I am and I always will be one who treats women with respect. I pull out chairs, open doors, give flowers for no reason, offer to carry things that are too heavy, compliment women when they deserve it. I will remain that way and will never change. It's a good news - knights still exist despite of all that feminism and struggle for ghostly equality :))

It is not dead ... least with most older men ... although I might not know how to act ... if he stand while I excuses myself ... all depends on how they where raised ... I still see it with men and women ... I open doors for both ... but get a little p*ssed when they don't say thank you ... so I say it for them lol being polite should be in everyone personality... but it is not ... but should be taught at a young age ...if you have children ... I was at a young age and I taught my daughter also ... I don't get why you would give up your seat for a man ... unless they are not feeling well or very old ... I am thinking along with others is generational...

Okay ladies and gentlemen it's been brought to my attention that some women have noticed a decline in chivalry.. So guys are you guilty of being without chivalry... and ladies have you noticed the decline in gentlemen being gentlemen.. ************************************************ I have read all comments Contrary to chivalry in decline, I will stand my ground/s.. It is not dead ... least with most older men ... although I might not know how to act ... if he stand while I excuses myself ... ******************************************** If he, ( The gentlemen ) stands up while you excuse yourself, it's a common principles & morals trait of a sign OF RESPECT for you ( The lady )....Trust me I KNOW.

If that were true then women would not be able to work, drive, file for divorce etc. England has a female prime minister and so does Germany. And still women complain about unfairness. And the wimps that encourage them are just loathsome and lack balls. They hate macho men and were most likely bullied (deservedly so) at school and want some pay back.

I think as the culture has changed to women not 'needing men', the tendency for men to feel comfortable doing anything that may imply other wise has changed as well. There are still men and women who stick to 'traditional' gender expectations and roles, but I certainly feel that it is shunned and discouraged.

Chivalry is a myth. Its roots are traced mainly from French and Anglo/Norman writers who created a literary genre called "Chivalric Romance." Knights were not courtly and did not go off on gallant quests. Knights were usually brutal ruthless enforcers of brutal Lords and Kings. Sooooo, to answer your question, NO! How can something be dead that never really existed? . Wow!!. A more chivalrous man would have let.. the myth of chivalry live on.. But not you!.. what's next pushing little old ladies out of your way so you can get the last bag of Oreos..lol.. maybe telling the Girl Guides at their cookies suck...lol.. . I suppose you let the little old ladies with one purchase stand in line behind you while you empty your cart full of groceries on the conveyor. .Lol... I'm so kidding dude I'm pretty sure you have the heart of a boy scout...wink.lol Made me laugh I wouldn't be so mean to little old ladies either... unless... unless it's Oreo mint cookies Well!! For perfectly good reasons --> they're delicious and I can't get 'em over here!

It is very hard to say. I meet men where I work. That do not know how to dress themselves. It is why I usually to attraction to men I could not have. It is people who actors. It usually rare. They are usually rare I have come upon men who have hold door. I guess it is area I work with. It is bad part of town.
