It occurs to me that a large percentage of the people that talk about world politics in this forum are for peace, and against war... yet the idea of unification of 3 countries upsets, even angers them? Is it just me, or does this seem hypocritical?

they are for peace from war.. and the north american union is being done behind our backs, without our approval and yes are rightfully upset..what's hypocritical?

Hey, this is all no accident, I figure McCain does not want to close any borders because He and his Israeli friends plan to Control not just Mexico, US and Canada, but to use our army to take over the whole mideast , AND, AND , YES AND Russia too!! I think these guys have real big plans which ,will backfire on them and swallow them up . And swallow us up too, if we allow them to use our Army like that??

mnhiker is right, this won't happen overnight. But, we do have to look further the road and draw a line somewhere. There should be a point where we say enough is enough. Hell they are doing the same thing with the second ammendment, and the "middle class". It is good to be mindful over these matters but in order to achieve any drastic changes without causing an uproar it would take decades, not just two years.

Actually, the "Avenue of the Americas" (as it's called) stretches well south of Mexico- it is supposed to stretch from well into Brazil, bisect through South America, through Panama and other countries in Central America, and end somewhere in Canada. It's supposed to allow for free, unfettered access through the continent as well as allow for more convenient "free" trade between nations.

I know this because I was in Panama back in 2004 and they were in the construction phase of their stretch of the highway. In fact, they were blasting whole sections of earth near the Panama Canal to put in huge on- and off-ramps.

As far as our currency being replaced by the amero, I wouldn't worry too much about that. Our currency isn't worth the paper it's printed on, whether it has the likeness of Ulysses S. Grant or Vincente Fox.

this isnt a new plan its an old one that never has worked and never will work, as the people in this country have always fouund out about thier plan and stood up against it. They just change the name of the plan but its the exact samer plan. I suppose in THEORY its a good idea but we all know form history that absolute power corrrupts absolutly.
