Do you think all our answers are inside a atom and not a religous book?
Now I know this question sounds crazy, but please think about it for a moment. We still haven't found out everything from a Atom. We still have more to discover possibly. We know that the electrons, protons, and neutrons revolve around a nucleus. In other words little circles going around a big circle. Isn't it ironic that the planets go around the sun almost in the same manner. What if we the universe is just one big gigantic Atom in a spot untouched by bigger moving objects to big for our eyes to see. Perhaps we are the little things inside the smallest electron unseen to our understanding. Well my imagination is truly going wild with the most ridiculous thoughts and questions. Yes I admit it myself with this post I just feel that the answer may be in a atom. The answers to all we need to know. Doesn't that sound crazy |

creation is brilliant in its simplicity....and the atom IS a smaller version of the solar system...
you aren't crazy...you can see |

Stopping to ask "What if" doesn't mean we have all the answers, it just means that we have lost the zeal for learning new things.
Ask away |

And where did the
atom come from? |

And where did the atom come from? Well from God of course.. grin! Ok I am not being all that serious this close to bedtime, but let's say that would have been your answer? Then the next logical question would be where did God come from? I have never had anyone from any faith able to answer that question. I am more apt to believe our existence is a fluke, and god our imagination, and while non of us know anything ultimately we do have a tendency to spend more valuable time comtemplating over exploring and inventing. Though contemplation is fine, but with out action I think it creates overactive imaginations. Could be wrong, probly am, but not concerned, to busy living in the NOW> |

And where did the atom come from? The atoms probably came from God. But then the next question is, "Where did God come from?" Now there's an interesting question. Did God come from a book? Or is God in the atoms? Hmmm? Which came first, the atoms or the book? Yes, a quite interesting question indeed. |

Boo wrote: I am more apt to believe our existence is a fluke, and god our imagination. Who's imagination? Ours? Or the imagination of a bunch of male-chuanvinist bigots that claimed to speak for God thousands of years ago? Personally I can imagine a God far nicer than the one they created. In fact, that's always been a very powerful argument I think. If a supreme being exists, surely that surprme being must be far greater than I can possibly imagine. Surely, as mere mortal I couldn't possibly imagine a God that is greater than my creator. Yet, I can very easily imagine a God that if far greater than the authors of the Bible were able to create in their imaginations. Therefore if a God exists it must be far greater than even my imagination. We should continue writing our imagination of what God might be like until no one can top it. The Easter Mystics have already written pictures of God that are far superior to the God that the Mediterranean author's were able to imagine. However, I think we can even do better than that. And we shouldn't accept any picture of God if anyone can top it. Only the greatest possible picture of God could be true because surely as mere mortals we could not even begin to imagine a God greater than the real thing. Surely not. |

Defining God , Thru Man's Limited Use of Logic.... Only "Limits" Who God Is. I will absolutely agree with you on that one MorningSong. We should never put God in a box or a book, or a dogmatic religion written by man. That would clearly be blaspheme of the highest degree. |

But the Good news is....
God did NOT leave us in the dark, never being able to Know or Understand Who God Is !!! No!!!!! Thru accepting His Son Jesus..... man is not only BORN AGAIN..... but his "Spirtual Eyes" are NOW OPENED ...... whereas before , he once was BLIND But NOW can SEE..... and UNDERSTAND GOD !!!!!! And have COMMUNION with God!!! And FELLOWSHIP with God!!! And RELATIONSHIP with God!!!!! ONCE MORE !!!!! JUST LIKE IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING!!!! <-----(Just Happy in the Lord here) !!!! |

Who cares either way?
The god squad will say god and the quantum mechanics will get their shifters out and say science of course... Geezzz.... how about we get on with fixing the bloody mess we have made of our home... the address we all share..you know... EARTH? How about solutions, brain storming, discussing those rather than waiting for god or the white coaters to fix things? Horton hears a who...lol
This cartoon had made me think this same thought. What if we are a dust speck in some other world, which is a dust speck on another world, etc.... Being so miniscule that you are completely uneffective but being a life form that is a part of the bigger picture so making you as effective and worthy as all other life forms. |

what if the people in the bigger world sets the chair, of which we comprise a single atom, on fire....

without man to say there is a god...there would be no god cuz no other creature really has the ability or desire to give a crap....

Isn't there something smaller then a atom?? I am not sure but I heard that there is something scientists have discovered inside a electron or something? Anyone know? Leptons, quarks, and bosons are the smallest fundamental particles we know of. An electron is a lepton and is a fundamental particle that cannot be broken down future. Quarks and bosons are also believed to be fundamental and cannot be broken down further. The smallest atom is an atom of positronium consisting of one electron and on positron (both of these particles are leptons) However, this 'atom' isn't on the period chart because it's not a hadronic atom, it's a leptonic atom. The period chart contains only hadronic atoms. The smallest hadronic atom is hydrogen. That consists of one lepton and at least three quarks. Or one electron and one proton (which is just another way of saying the same thing) The photon is probably the smallest particle known to man in terms of mass. A photon is a boson and has no rest mass. A photon can never rest and always travels at the speed of light. It can however be arrested by a hadronic atom. And often is. But not to worry for it is never incarcerated for long before being released to travel at the speed of light once again. A Higgs particle is also a boson, but it is quite large in terms of mass, though it has never yet been seen. It is a theoretical ghost at the moment waiting to be discovered at the Large Hadron Collider at Cern. They are conducting séances for this bosonic ghost as we speak. |
