Do you feel that an overweight man isn't good enough for/doesn't deserve a slender woman? Or that he shouldn't even try? Or that he's dreaming if he thinks he could attract a slender woman?

Does an overweight man have a chance; or should he just settle for whoever is willing to be with him?

and i know that there are some funny overweight guys out there that women just love, like jack black or kevin james. but not every overweight guy is extremely funny, so let's ignore the exceptions.

Aren't you the guy who is picky about the size of a woman he dates? You're not into overweight women, right?

Well, it's the same the other way around. Some women aren't into bigger guys. Some are. It's just going to depend on her preferences. Does that mean you should settle? Of course not.

Women love confidence, so if he is confident he has a chance. If you approach her with confidence, not being cocky, just confident, and be a gentleman, showing respect, you'll have a better chance than a lot of others out there.

Not to mention those guys are famous. What that hypothetical overweight guy should do is get into shape. If he starts lifting weights and eating healthier he should get in pretty good shape. I mean at 145 lifting I need to eat like 2500 calories a day to try to put on weight. And that is a very inactive lifestyle outside of lifting. I do that so I don't need to eat more to make up for it. That being said an overweight guy could probably get away with eating at least that much and still lose weight. I actually drink most of my calories too.

yes, i'm picky. which is why i don't hold it against women when they exclude for the same thing. i'm not a complete hypocrite. however, i just read a profile on another site that basically said that overweight guys are living in a fantasy if they believe that they could somehow attract a slender woman. this has prompted me to check how other women feel about this idea.

personally, i'll never settle for less than what i want. if i can't have it i'll go without.

i just want to know, when you observe an overweight guy contemplating approaching a slender woman, what do you(women) think? or do you even take note of it?

I don't really think much about it. I've often seen big men with little women, so it's not something I ever thought was weird.

I think everybody gets exactly what they deserve. Confidence is key in any situation.

I have never been one to categorize people by things like weight or size, but to each their own.

I personally have discovered I am more attracted to bigger guys, but I am overweight myself so that doesn't really answer your question.

But like people are saying, confidence goes a long way.

Some people are just shallow. I work at a bar and have seen a lot of bigger guys have some pretty skinny women in their arms. I think women are more attracted to a guys "swagger" than his looks. I hate that word by the way...lol.

i like some big guys, but MJ is right, although (working at a bar)I wouldnt be surprised who left together hahahaha

but seriously, i think there are some bigger guys who are attractive, um personally, i think jack black, kevin james and ralphie may are all gross on the eyes....despite their ability to make me laugh...

This topic can go the other way too. What about slightly, moderately, or heavier than normal women attracted to slender guys? I've seen it go both ways. Some women want a huggable bear and some want them as skinny as a pole. IDK. I've been with both and never once crossed my mind about why or how did I land this woman that is heavier then the norm or has an awesome figure. Just saying

i agree, i also dont think anyone gets dissed over one trait. there is usually something else going on besides just weight. maybe acne, uncleanliness, poor sense or style or humor....

There is no rhyme or reason to it. Everyone has preferences, and what is accepotable to them. Just because I've dated tall men, Does not mean that I wouldn't date a shorter one. Or because someone has always liked Blondes that a brunette could catch their eye.

I think confidence in yourself is very important in attracting attention in the opposite sex. So it does not surpirse me when you see a skinny with a fat person. Or a knock out with a homely person.
Like they say opposites attract.
Perfect example in Hoolywood-- Elizabeth Hurly to Hugh Grant.

Do you feel that an overweight man isn't good enough for/doesn't deserve a slender woman?

No I don't feel that.

Or that he shouldn't even try?

Try what?....Try to be fit and healthy?....mentally, physically and spiritually?..try what?

Or that he's dreaming if he thinks he could attract a slender woman?

It's kind of lovely to have a dream.....and attracting a beautiful heart embodied in the form of a woman, is every man's dream.....if he's honest....irrespective of her body.

Does an overweight man have a chance; or should he just settle for whoever is willing to be with him?

A chance of what?.....this smells of superficial ego, wrapped in a desire to appear succesful....it's contrived thinking, and has no place in matters of the heart.

and i know that there are some funny overweight guys out there that women just love, like jack black or kevin james. but not every overweight guy is extremely funny, so let's ignore the exceptions.

I would rather ignore the skewed logic of your questions and ask you what makes your soul sing...

Self-assured overweight men who are capable to love other than themselves are much preferred by some slender women than those sexy bodied men who only love themselves. I should know, I was once a slender woman who had gotten head over heels with an overweight man who gave me so much love and affection no one else had ever given me. smokin

At 6'3" and over 250lbs Im a pretty big guy. I never had a problems picking up woman of any size. Some women like the big guys cause they feel safer with a gorilla some don't. This kind of question always falls to her preferences.

i could be interpreting this wrong and if so, please correct me. it seems that you're saying that because i'm not willing to date someone that i'm not attracted to (in this instance overweight women) that i don't deserve for any woman that i am attracted to to be interested in me.
is this a correct interpretation?
