OK.You guys know my views on this by now, right? Mike, I have to admit,
I have read the book of Enoch, [or at least some of it ]and it is the
most interesting, and like you say it does clarifie some things that it
paralells.
You are also correct about the Coprinthian letters...there are probably
many, many letters penned by the apostle Paul, to churches and church
leaders, that never were reproduced or anything.... Why? I believe it is
simply because the themes an the personal nature of them did not need to
be in the canon.
The Word says that all scripture is useful.....to edify and teach.
Maybe the " missing " letters were only useful to the recipients on a
personal level.

Redyk I really liked your take on [70]. I think [15] is Jesus telling
them about THE FATHER, I don't really see it any other way. It's an
interesting topic to discuss but why don't we use the bible instead of
"translated" old writings. Even if the writings were authentic and not
perverted in some way or the other, the translaters that get a hold of
old documents like that are usually anti-god, and are trying to prove
christianity a false faith. I have read many of the "old christian
writings" ,all very interesting. But I personally do not put any trust
in there validity.

sushi, the bible says to "speak the truth in love" and your commentary
was not recieved in love. If you are right [and I am NOT implying that
you are] you should think about the feelings of your fellow believers
who believe in that.

Hey gryph, I think maybe you misunderstood or I didn't make myself
clear....I absolutely believe that profits are walking this
earth......and a whole lot more that operate in the gift of "prophecy".
The only thing about that is prophecy never supercedes the word of God,
it has to line up, and not contradict the scriptures.
I would love to read these tomes you speak of....please tell me where
to find them.

Redy, you have done your homework on this subject,very commendable.This
is one of my favorite subjects,because it is very interesting,and not
really completely clear.
I have never really heard anyone put that scripture in that particular
way before......very interesting. I am going to have to reread some
things and get them fresh in my mind again to respond properly. But I
will say this...try reading the book of Jude and see if you can see any
paralell there.

1christlady you are right ,we are to be doers of the word and not
hearers only. A BIG AMEN to rozey and grobi.Fedman,your are right about
not judging,thats' not our job.But the lady is right,the word
"christian" does mean christ-like. That does not mean that we have
obtained that mark, "but this one thing I do....forgetting things that
are behind.....I press on towards the mark...." and we certainly are not
expected to go to the cross...He took care of that once and for all,what
he wants from us is to walk as He walked,the very best that we can.

Graph, you remind me so much of myself before I became a total believer
in the Word of God. It's a good thing to have an open mind, and to
search and seek for the truth in every place available to you. I have
never took anything someone told me to heart until I thouroghly searched
it out for myself. I never came to the conclusion that Gods word was
actually his word by my mind. That was very frustrating for me, a person
with an above average I.Q. and thought at the time I was alot smarter
than I later had to admit.I really don't know how to explain how God
finally got a hold of me.All I can tell you is this, when you are in
Gods prescence you know it! That is how my faith is immovable, because I
know he is there.FAITH.
Now, I hope I can answer a couple of your questions.
First, yes,I absolutely,with everything in me,believe what I
said.Secondly, yes these latter days are going to play out just how God
said it would.It's all in there, but some things in the prophetic are
not always revealed until the time comes.There are some prophecies in
the bible that the writers were directed by the Holy Ghost to NOT write
them but to seal them until the time of the end.God does not reveal
everything to us ahead of time....then we would not rely on faith,but we
would rely on ourselves.As far as the star of David thing,I don't really
know why it has 6 points but I don't believe it has anything to do with
people allowed to say what's what,thats Gods job .
