Overcoming is the word sister, I suppose all of us have had relationships that have either gone bad or were not good from the beginning. I think however, it is important for us to find good in them, for our own sake.
I think sometimes if we could learn to respond rather than react to situations in our lives we would be allot better off.
Our loved ones around us would be too, I am sure.
I suppose I am learning to respond to my conflicts, if I allow: it may be that my Father will use this to remove old attitudes and/or selfish motives from me... etc:: Just maybe, If I were willing to learn, a negative relationship to help bring positive change.
I have noticed allot what happens is an old hurt had surfaced having nothing to do with the present person involved, and then because of the situation we were able to realize the needed change and have a healing.
I think if I really do trust my Lord; than some pain is gain, sort of speak. I sure don't want to marry someone that is still stuck in their past hurts, I don't want to have to pay for their Ex’s sins, and nor should they have to pay for my ex’s sins. How can you find true peace when you’re walking around on eggshells being hurt/angry over another person’s past that you are now being punished for?
So I suppose What I am suggesting, is to forgive and use this as an opportunity to grow and learn how to love and be loved for who you are today. So our Lord can truly bless you with a wonderful tomorrow.
Don't get in a hurry, trust the God you believe in when you’re "both" ready to be in "unity" Than things will happen. If we get in a hurry we will more than likely really mess thing s up for us... The really sad part about that is the innocent hearts that are tagging along behind you, usually pay the higher price.
Here are some important key points that were once shared with .and really helped me.
Forgive, this does not mean to pretend that no wrong was done it means to turn loose of, send away the offence, it is not necessary to trust them again either, you‘ve counted the cost, you acknowledge the wrong, and you choose to release them through the grace given unto you through Christ. Recognize that The Holy Spirit will allow some people in our lives only for a season; they were never meant to be a permanent .The things we dislike in others may be a picture of our own soul that we haven't yet come to terms with. Negative relationships can become positive ones when we grow, adjust, and make changes in how we treat others; the person closest to us is often the most neglected make sure family is loved and cared for. This one is really important don’t do the blame game....This is a sign of immaturity so rise above accusations and a critical spirit it never helps anyone. And try to remember to understand the freedom of being delivered from people, so that you may be sent to people in purity and love.

Sorry to go on so long, but anyway..Hugs and love,
In the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ

Nice very nice --Thank you!

I don't know if any of you still remember what America suppose to be really like. We're modifying our allegiance in school, taking out the words that was put there over 2 century ago, end up wanting security by giving up our freedom...and the people fear the government when the government suppose to fear the people. I don't know if some of you may still think that this country exist...but in reality...it no longer does. Only those who still carry it within their hearts and mind, thats where America still exist. Whenever I take down our National Flag from the poles, I never allow it to touch the ground but state flags I could careless. This country suppose to be indivisible but in reality, its dividing itself. Other states has started to make their own currencies and everything else. I was watching the news a couple of months ago, the interviewer asked this retired Army Major who is a Counter Terrorist Specialist if we should give up our freedom for our security, and his answer was "YES". Knowing that Andrew Jackson or Thomas Jefferson, I can't really remember who, stated that we should never give up our freedom for security, otherwise we don't deserve neither of it. Its really a shame...

If you're referring to "under God", that isn't 2 centuries old-it's only about 60 years old. Did you know that the pledge was written by Francis Bellamy-an avowed socialist, and the original salute was exactly like the Nazi salute?

I prefer the original American flag or the Gadsden flag to the modern one. The modern one represents a militaristic empire and has little to do with the spirit of 1776.

That Ben Franklin quote you're thinking of goes "Those who would surrender essential liberty for a little temporary security deserve neither liberty nor security".

You should realize that if you revere the national emblem more than the State ones, you are in direct opposition to the founding philosophy. (that is, essentially, all rights belong to the citizens naturally, and they only surrender a few of them to their State first, then the Federal government as they feel needed. The Federalist Papers make this very clear)

If you seriously are as afraid as you seem OP, I suggest joining either the Campaign for Liberty, or a local 10th amendment advocacy group.

Yep-Yep and Yep again!---Keep up the good fight friend, as they may get it someday!!drinker

I studied Taosim in the 70's. The books I read about Taoism contained other philosophies as well. Taoism was associated with flowing with the underlying spiritual force of life. The "river" of life that flows through all things whether they are 'biologically' living or not. It's my understanding that all of existence is considered to be part of the "life-force" in Taoism and that includes all of the laws of natures (i.e. laws of physics).

Taoism was the basic Chinese philosophy that had a major affect on Buddhism and gave birth to the "Zen Buddhism". The Tao and the Zen are basically two words that represent the same concept.

More recently as I was studying shamanic journeying I discovered that the Taoists of China where among the first shamanic journeyers, and they journeyed to many worlds in the cosmic consciousness. They were also said to have magickal powers. In fact, I believe that it was from these early Taoists that European witchcraft arose. The Taoists were said to be some of the first humans ever to actually cast a magick circle.

That also leaked back down into India to become the basis of Tantric Buddhism. At least some scholars have suggested.

I also personally see a lot of Taoism in the European Faery Folklore. The Tao there became known as the Toradh (toe-rath). But it's basically the same principle.

I've always been attracted to the ideas of the Tao and I feel that it is indeed the closest thing humans have come up with to describe the true essence of our underlying nature.

I also believe that it's one of the best philosophies to study to get a handle on a pantheistic view of life. But like I say, it can be seen in many other philosophies as well.

See!--I told you so--

The people on the street are the bottom of the drug food chain---Thats what we see and thay are the ones we put in jail- over and over. The "war on drugs" never gets high up on the drug food chain. To much money being made. We will never solve it as long as the drugs are there to be had.---get rid of the people at the top. Cut the snakes head off. The body will die. To do it you will have to get rid of most of the people in Washington DC-- And keep that kind of rabble from coming back.bigsmile
