You are right about a stereotype. Fact is...not everyone from Africa are scammers.

My best suggestion is to post in the forums and let people get to know you.

It takes time, so be patient.

Heck (did I just post about cussing? Naaah, can't have been me...), there's people here who I disliked after the first posting I read, and hold in the highest respect after reading the next 10...

Debbie and Rose are right - no better way to get a feeling for what a person really is than to read about that person's views in many different points...

That's funny, after reading your post on cussing I had to go look at your profile to see how this pretty looking innocent face could be a cusser.

Probably want to ask yourself if you are being rejected becasue of where you are from or how you approach a person. Cultural norms apply. I always wonder shy someone who loves theri country can not find someone in their own country for a mate. Yea other countries might be inviting but how realisti is it that people are going to jump boarders?

Well see if a person judges you before they know you they are not worth the bother my friend if you are true and sincere and respect the lady's wishes and take it slow you should be ok but see a lot of people ruined it for good people i mean even if you not African people still judge people from what they wear how they talk cause a lot of idiots out there and i don't blame lady's for being cautious nowadays have a good day :) and remember if they don't accept you for you they not worth the bother you will find the right person sooner or later :)and no 1 out here is perfect too so take your time and don't worry :) waving  cheers

I agree with you brother and have said it for years. There are plenty of truly good Africans. Unfortunately, that part of the world has developed a notoriety for having alot of scam artists. We got em too.
A scam artist is easy to spot...they stay short term.

Try hanging out and actually getting to know people and you will find real acceptance amongst us.

Some will like you..some won't....around here, it don't matter where you are from...it matters if you are a good person or you ain't.

Come chat among us brother...you will like some peple...others you will like less.

Welcome.

:)
