I think that type of honesty is the best policy, it avoids either party wasting 'time' or effort on something that will not have much potential.

I basically would think to share anything I thought had the potential in a reasonable person to cause pause down the line....for me,,,that issue is being legally married,,even though I split from my husband three years ago.

IT depends upon the man, truly. American men have continued to have the same 'roles' in their families and communities and women have changed their 'roles' in many instances. I think men that look for 'old fashioned' partnerships with male and female roles will have to look a little harder amongst american females than females from other cultures which still promote and encourage said roles.

I Think relationships are a process, I certainly believe sometime BEFORE deep feelings develop or substantial time is invested,,,certain things should be shared to give the other a fair chance at an educated decision of how far to proceed
