No the gun wasn't the problem.......a person in a place doing something that seems suspicious is a problem......carrying the gun in a peaceful situation is a problem(which wasn't the case)......following someone you were told not to for safety reasons is a problem......one attacking another is a problem.....I do not see where the gun did anything wrong in this situation.....did it load itself? did it pull its own trigger.....a gun is an inanimate object until an individual activates it......he protected himself from an attack....its very sad he was attacked....but let us think that a person would be dead in this situation period even if he hadn't had the gun and that would be a shame too......there are all sorts of problems with this story.......bet it wouldn't have as much media attention if Zimmerman was dead from head wounds from Treyvon beating him to death now would it?? nope, hand to hand gives people a bit more of a chance, and it would be a clearer case of 'excessive' force because an expectation of retreat would be reasonable,,,, a gun in unstable hands is as unwise as a gun in untrained hands So what you are saying here is that I am wrong you are right.........and my way of thinking is misconstrued....glad to know where you are coming from just for future reference because I guess its the guns fault........do you know that his hands were untrained?? Do you say hand to hand is always even and justified......so someone without a chance at hand to hand has no right to protect themselves with weaponry?? I see.......................shaking head as walks away in that direction ----------------> I can guarantee anyone who finds themselves back to the ground, with a violent attacker beating their head into the ground will think twice about having a weapon if they ever get the chance. Sadly if a person will not stop attacking, you will never get the chance, once you are in such a compromised position there is not much you can do. Especially once you have already sustained a head wound and possible concussion. Some people die from a single hit to the head, hours later they get a clot that kills, or brain bleed. Its just not funny. This is assuming of course the narrative by Zimmerman, without all the facts no such conclusions should be reached, that includes Bill Cosby. yes, I can guarantee that if the ATTACKER was the one with the weapon, and you get them on the ground, you are going to fight for your life to disable their ability to use the GUN,,,, if the person has a gun, you may not feel a chance to do anything BUT continue fighting until the gun is out of the equation,,, assuming Zimmermans narrative is correct, he acted in a reckless way which CREATED a situation where he ended up shooting someone dead who was possibly JUSTIFIED in their physical response to his initial pursuit and confrontation (with a gun) you can guarantee that if the ATTACKER was the one with the weapon ? Not very likely. You take a lot for granted and sound a bit gullible too. ![]() really? what happened to the black male who confronted and shot the two brits? if he had not had a gun, and had to fight, dont you think he would have a better chance at CLAIMING he was defending himself? Ive already posted here the law concerning self defense in a mutual fight,,and self defense being invoked by an attacker or an assailant of a crime,,,, if you are the ASSAILANT, you cannot kill and claim self defense.... |

Just goes to show, it's not Al Sharpton or any other mobs decision or choice. Once again, the Justice System has once again worked. I agree, lets see what the investigation continues to turn up,,,,and what happens from there,,,, It's a Done Deal. dont bet on it they didnt use a grand jury for OJ either,,,its not an absolute,,, Where is O.J now? look in Nevada. when Obama leaves office There will be a Pardon for him. what? OJ is serving a ridiculous sentence for a ridiculous offense to punish him for not receiving the verdict the authorities wanted him to receive in his first trial there wont be a pardon,,,they worked too hard to get him where he is,,,, Robbery is a ridiculous offense?!?!?!?! when the items are yours,, yep.... If the items were his , why did he use a gun instead of the law to get them? The authorities that you speak of, would they be white authorities in your mind? ![]() HE didnt use a gun the people who rolled on him and got deals, and told him about the items and took him to where they were,, are the ones who actually had weapons,,,, Doesn't matter. The guns were involved with his knowledge and he was there. It's called Armed Robbery no matter how you slice it. If you are going to commit Armed Robbery, don't do it in the State of Nevada. It is a state that tends to enforce their laws with gusto. He is serving time for his crime. And Nevada does have a hand gun law. Too bad Ron Goldman and Nichole Brown didn't have one in California. Like Zimmerman, they might be alive today. there was NO evidence that he knew the guns were there until they were already drawn,,,the ones with the guns were the 'armed' robbers, the laws werent equally enforced against them just the one UNARMED person involved,,,,who happened to be OJ Simpson,,, Doesn't matter. He set the whole thing up and was aware that guns would be there. I think testimony was that he brandished one at one point. But, the law is, he could be holding a bible there. He is still guilty of Armed Robbery. If one of the victims had been killed during it, he would be charged as if he pulled the trigger. Laws are laws. They may not enforce them in California but they certainly do in Nevada. Ask O.J. actually he DIDNT set it up the others involved SET IT UP,, the ones with the guns he was going to retrieve his possessions, period, after being told by one of the co conspirators that this person had them and where they were, and being joined by the other co conspirators when the first co conspirator assisted him in trying to retrieve those items... they enforce laws at liberty, thats why those WITH THE GUNS got deals and less time than the one person without one,,, |

seems more like a case for a healthier diet than one against flouride my sister is a dentist,, my daughter/ her niece, has a flouride treatment twice a year I doubt she would do that if it was 'poisonous' and I think she actually went to school to learn about teeth as opposed to being self taught,,,,,, Problem is, the dental industry has a role in the deception here, just as they do with mercury filled cavity fillings. Your sister may have all the right intentions, may think she is doing the right thing and working to help people, but it doesn't change the actual truth of the matter. and who has the 'actual truth' ? It's those that are under the radar, and here's a hint, you will not find it in mainstream media or in the modern medical world by and large. To see it though, you have to be willing to accept first that a lot of what you are told it is isn't. When you can do that, and let go of what you think or have been taught it is, you will be able to see it for what it actually is then, but not before. You won't see it until you are ready to see it. oh,,,,ok,,, |

Fredrika Wilson said that she was "runnin away from this story faster than a Rabid Dog". She would also recommend the same to Al Sharpton but he beat her to it. Pityful indeed.... ![]() no evidence of such a statement and for every one person who runs away,,whether its a politician or ZIMMERMANS LAWYERS,,,, there are a half dozen to take their place and make some stand |

I have to remember. When citizens get their guns taken away, the only folks left holding them are cops and punks against the citizen. Most of the other stuff Cosby was right about. I speak Spanish but, I'm not fluent in jive. ![]() ![]() I dont want gun BANS, I want gun regulations kind of like not wanting to see people not allowed to drive cars but still wanting who can drive a car to have SOME common sense prerequisites,,, |

you have evidence against it? That is not how the law works.
You do not get to make the facts up as you go along. stand your ground is not a law I made up but if I am being followed by a stranger, first by vehicle and I try to put distance between us by changing directions and running and he STILL continues to follow me,, this time on foot no law says I cant ask him why he is following me, and if he makes a physical advance,, the stand your ground law allows for me to use physical force to defend myself instead of having to CONTINUE Trying to retreat, something which I have already tried to do once or twice at that point,,,, However even if Martin was seen as justified in attacking Zimmerman, that does not invalidate the self defense. The best advice I have for everyone, be cool, and dont get in fights. Even when you think someone is a jerk. it does not NECESSARILY invalidate self defense but it CAN and usually DOES if the attacker is the one who causes the death ..... the aTTACKER with a gun, cant usually use self defense if he then SHOOTS the person trying to defend THEMSELF |

I dont know if all store parking lots are considered 'public' as opposed to 'private' property. But I guess if the punks would just not try to be confrontational and had just said Yes sir,, they would not have gotten into trouble,,, the world we live in I didn't really see the kids as being confrontational, but just the opposite... the cop was out of line IMO... I understand. I agree. Im being facetious and sarcastic with the idea that not simply 'complying' and submitting to an assertion of authority warrants whatever happens to the non submissive party,,,, |

Several west coast gangs have re-transplanted here in Florida. Some are home grown, and try to compete with the big gangs. Kids hear about these gangs and act tuff to ward off criticism or predator type behaviors. I believe it. There are gang hubs in most every state now. IT doesnt however make the WHOLE STATE a danger, so much as just those areas. very true,,,, |

approaches me menacingly and either reaches for me or (a gun?) their wasteband, So you have evidence of this occurring before the altercation?
you have evidence against it? is that less likely to you than the story that a young man who was (while zimmerman was on the phone) changing direction and running to LOSE zimmerman suddenly changed his mind and just followed him towards his car? is it less likely than the story Zimmerman claimed occurring in less than a two minute time frame ? Have you seen an outline of the AREA in question,,where Zimmerman is supposedly a watchperson? there are only three streets there, why would he have to go to 'look' at a street sign ,,,its just not the likeliest scenario to me,, if it is to you,, so be it seems more likely that a grown man who had gone through the trouble and been so convinced of someones criminality that they would INTERRUPT their plans to the store, follow someone in a car, call emergency, follow them on foot, and complain about how they always get away,,, decided to continue following and confront this young man,,,,the timeline of the call to Martins girlfriend also matches her account of what happened closely enough that it seems more reasonable Zimmerman continued to walk BEHIND Martin who simply turned around and asked him why he was following him,,,, , |

There is 0 evidence to show that Martin knew about the weapon prior to the assault. he didnt need to know prior, once someone has followed me in a car, and then ON FOOT, and then approaches me menacingly and either reaches for me or (a gun?) their wasteband,,I have the right (especially in florida) to stand my ground and fight once the fight starts, its reasonable to figure that I could then realize there was a gun involved, possibly because the person following and confronting me would now be reaching for it ,,,, and then I have every right to continue to 'stand my ground' to fight until he can no longer use the gun on me,,,, |

"We've got to get the gun out of the hands of people who are supposed to be on neighborhood watch," Cosby said in his first public remarks about the case, published today. "Without a gun, I don't see Mr. Zimmerman approaching Trayvon by himself," Cosby added. "The power-of-the-gun mentality had him unafraid to confront someone. Even police call for backup in similar situations". The power of the gun is intended to make criminals think twice before the rob or mug someone. That is exactly why Mr. Zimmerman will not be charged. This story has sent a loud message to anyone with crime on the mind. That is, think twice before you do something that might get you shot or,like Trevon, killed. Too bad Trevon did not think before he acted. Cosby, like Sharpton has done, should sit down and shut the ---- up!. ![]() this is ignorance,, what risk did Zimmerman have of being robbed or mugged traveling to the store in his car he acted 'suspiciously' and recklessly and someone is now dead,,too bad ZIMMERMAN (the adult)didnt think before HE acted,,, |
