Few people, like myself, who've never actually experienced the feeling of real love...nor received it...and lived through many a hurt and heartache...hope to learn from our past relationships in a positive way, in that we don't keep repeating mistaken feelings of love. True and genuine love doesn't happen overnight...it takes time and patience to grow. That's why I believe that the seed of a heartfelt friendship...between the right two people...can grow into the love we all dream of finding! He strictly wanted better equipment..and to start winning races...and/or championships..and went with the team to do it with!! And by the way...last time I heard..Jr IS the most popular driver in Nascar...the sea of red proves that at every race!!

I totally agree with you yelm! I must admit, I wasn't too fond of the idea of Jr going to Hendricks..because of the fact that he'd be teammates with Gordon and Johnson..but then I quickly dismissed that thought...because I know Hendricks is the top team in Nascar..and the simple fact that I don't have to root for them...just cuz they'll be Jr's teammates!!

Jr was asked the question..at qualifications yesterday..if he thinks alot about the points, and he replied no...in such a calm manner..and that he wouldn't until later. I understand that, to a point, but being 12th in the point standings, and #19 of 38 races almost completed, doesn't leave a whole lot of time to play catch-up..and be a true contender for the chase..if he doesn't start winning some races! He's come a long way this year...opposed to last...placing top 5's and 10's...but hey...what's he gotta do to start winning some races?? I think he's just happy to be where he is..given the struggle they had with the COT...he's come a long ways baby! but you ain't seen nothin yet...wait til next year!

I'm with ya there about celebrating a new legacy Lakeman! Without sounding too repetitive..saying Jr did this or that wrong...or he's been living in Sr's shadow is irrelevent! The fact that he was named after his dad...not Kerry, the 1st born son...should speak for itself! It wasn't because he was to live up to his daddys' reputation...it was the fact that Dale Jr had the desire, ambition, and the talent to be successful! Bottom line...he will be proving next year..to his fans..and to the rest of the world...that he's his own man...and that he's made the necessary changes it takes...to be the winner that he is!! No need to debate about this!!

Lakeman...I realize it probably was an honest mistake..but like I said...just seemed a little coincidental to me! It sure would be nice if Jr could keep the #8..but I know Teresa has control over it..and keeping Budweiser as a sponsor would be great too..but with changing teams...might as well face all the other changes to come! Will take some getting used to...but neither the #, nor the sponsor has little to do with a drivers' capability as a racer...so whatever decisions are made...Jr's still gonna be on top next year!!

and Fanta...I know the last infractions were on the Hendrick team...I was merely asking a question of Lakeman..concerning the one on DEI...
