I was involved in the suicide watch thread last night...

And this morning I wake up to an email from Mike about violating forum posting rules.

I clearly remember being one of the people last night being supportive of the gentleman in question. I know I said a few things that didn't make people happy about how the tracking of people through email addresses go, but I in no way was abusive to the member in question.

Now...why are the people who were clearly being abusive not banned? Did they also get these warning emails?

Why is it that the minute anyone around here feels threatened by something someone else says they all run to Mike and claim abuse...are we adults here or not? Cause if I joined this site under false pretenses, I'm going to be very upset...

I'm not a mom...but I worked with kids who have ADHD/ADD/Autism/etc...

All 4 year olds have ADHD...LOL

It's really too soon to tell, but if you're concerned have your primary care physician refer you to a behavior speccialist. They might be able to give you some tips on how to work with your child on diverting their lack of attention, etc.

But getting a man to show emotion is a lot like trying to catch butterflies...sometimes you have to sit really quietly and listen for a long time before one will land on you.

First of all it is commendable that you did the right thing. Secondly the fact that you feel such conviction that you're willing to stay in a relationship that could be potentially bad for you is truly a noble thing.

However...

You're not "leaving" her mother persay...as much as you allowing you both to go your own ways and see what's out there. Who's to say that in a few years you two won't be more alike than different? Or maybe you'll find someone who makes you out of this world happy....

Either way...when your daughter grows up and sees that you did the right thing, right off, for her mother but allowed yourself to admit that you were both wrong and have another try at life, I think that when she's old enough she will realize that you needed to be happy.

She will accept and be proud that her parents made the choices they did and that they did what they had to do without compromising their relationship with her to be happy.
