The problem is, the power elite has caused individualism.
People no longer unite as a nation.
Our national unity is broken.
As a population, we are no longer the United States.
Even the people in local communities are not united.
Tom4Uhere

This I don't agree with , the power elites don't cause individualism, because if they did half the racial problems wouldn't exist.

A true conservative looks at the individual not the collective.
where as Liberals and leftists looks at the collective.

Many conservatives sees a black person as a black person an individual , where as liberals and leftists looks the black person and sees the community and how they are oppressed

National unity, well its hard to have national unity when you have groups that don't want to be associated with American national unity or western values or even accept their current President as commander and chief.

I see where you're going with this now...

Somethings I agree with and somethings I don't.

Over population is one of those overused words in my opinion, there are so many places that are unlivable due to geography, conflicts, weather condition, economic conditions, political conditions.

But there are places that can take in more people but the political and economic structure makes it impossible.

As in for people paying attention, depends on where on lives, most people are ignorant when it comes to civic, Look at your country for instance, I bet If I went to your city right now, I bet I can find 100 people that cannot name the last 5 Vice presidents.

Compared that to my city In Canada, I bet I can find 100 that can name the last 5 Vice presidents .

I bet I could go to London England and find 100 people that can also name the last 5 vice presidents.

It seems more people outside the US knows more about your country vs your own citizens.

this is why Obama was elected and Trump succeeded him and probably the next person after Trump.

Its not that people dont pay attention, its more like they don't care, since Obama was elected and Trump thanks to social media more people are educating themselves about politics.

Before Obama Came in Americans only cared about national politics every 4 years, you had your repubs vs democrat debates, trash talking back and forth and after the election things went back to normal.

Obama changed that and Trump is now the face of identity politics, and Trump is right on one thing, since he entered the race more people became interested in politics.

Its not that they are doing nothing , because a few are, its now people through social media are starting to be aware of things and changes are coming.

As in for the second amendment, I say thank God you still have it, because every where else Gun control is implemented problems followed.

exactly Msharmony.

from what Ive read it was a case of a racist P.O.S thug beating a black man, not because of Obama ,although that triggered it, Mr.Johnson was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I'm pretty sure if it was a white man wearing an Obama shirt he would not have been touched, yelled at perhaps but not beaten.

My opinion.

Kaylon Johnson, an African American campaign worker for Obama, was physically assaulted for wearing an Obama T-shirt in Louisiana following the 2008 election. The three white male attackers shouted “**** Obama!” and “****** president!” as they broke Johnson’s nose and fractured his eye-socket, requiring surgery.

More frequently, Obama’s presidency was marked by effigies of our first black president hanging from nooses across the country, for example in Kentucky, Washington State, and Maine, or being burned around the world. What Trump supporters fail to remember is that following Obama’s election, property was destroyed across the country, for example in Pennsylvania, Texas, and North Carolina, and a predominately black church was torched in Massachusetts.

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/presidential-campaign/305749-republicans-employ-double-standard-to-discredit

SPIN is trying to point towards one party or the other, when its AMERICANS across the board who engage in poor and violent behaviors in the name of politics

and I do not have HATE for anyone.

An outlier for sure, there have more Trump supporters beaten up including, gays, jewish, black, men in a wheelchair, imagine that a man in a wheelchair, how low and dispicable is that.

And for that guy who was beaten up for wearing an Obama shirt he was beaten up by a violent racist piece of S-hit thug, hello violent racist, Mr Johnson would have been beaten up if he wore a Jay z t shirt, because racist thugs are racist thugs P.O.S.

Now find me a person who was beaten up by a conservative for wearing an Obama or Democrat or "hope and change" t shirt or hat.

oh, 'that one' ... I thought from the description to 'stop' doing it ,

it was an ongoing and normal trend or something ...

That was one example, there are more but the point is its happening because leftists hates Trump.

How many Right wingers violently protested Obama when he was in office?

by the way there have been a record number of protests particularly against Trump that individual states has enacted anti protest legislation and the ACLU is calling unconstitutional

see ACLU statement

Nice spin I might add.

You leftist hate Trump so bad that its making Trump Derangement Syndrome an actual medical condition

what are these businesses being looted and burned over Trump? msharmony

Oh like the one in Chicago in 2017 where cops arrested 200 anti trump protestors

excerpt

On one side: a Justice Department that has sought to incarcerate scores of people over a violent protest that smashed downtown storefront windows and set a limousine ablaze.

the first in a series of group trials for 58 defendants that should last the rest of the year. Charges include property destruction and conspiracy to engage in a riot.

for the entire story I attached the link ( see below)

Protesting is your god given American right, looting destroying other people's property is a violation of their rights or don't you people care?

What I have noticed about political forums in general, is that it will always reduce to:

"you should think the way I think"
"no you should think the way I think"
"Ive given you a great reason to think the way I think so you should think the way I think"
"NO, Ive given you a great reason to think the way I think so you should think the way I think"
"Cleary you are an idiot"
"No, cleary YOU are an idiot"
ect ect
but its actually spelled
etc etc klc

Im pleased as punch or whatever that saying is.

That the left and libs are protesting, rioting , looting and taking the Trump derangement syndrome to a whole new level.

Because your antics will only secure Trump a second term and what then? and if you keep up the shenanigans during his second term many of the democrats will be swept out of office in congress and handing the republicans after Trump leaves in 2024 another GOP victory.

The right learned their lesson in 2012, smearing Obama at every turn only pissed off the public and they re elected him, this time the left is doing it and going too far with their crap.

While many of us had Obama Derangement syndrome we didn't burn down businesses, rioted or looted, most quietly protested etc.

So my message to leftist out there with Trump Derangement Syndrome, the only cure for you is....
wait for it

Accepting reality.

And please stop looting and burning down businesses.

yeah, men are selfish, but I guess some of them are decent ... lol

wow a Donald J.Trump type of response ... men are selfish but I guess some of them are decent...

context eh?

Another thing I forgot to add to the abortion debate is I despise women who aborts the fetus as a cheap way of birth control, that to me is a sin.

If you are old enough to have sex you are old enough to be responsible too and that doesn't include abortion in my opinion.

I hope this thread doesn't get ugly as its a great topic of discussion

Its a controversial topic for sure.

Ive been torn about this subject, as I don't believe in Abortion, but over the years Ive soften my stance.

I truly believe There are exceptions in my opinion for abortion, mainly if the mothers life is in jeopardy.

Where Im torn is women who are raped, or the mentally challenged who are raped, bringing up an unwanted child could have dire consequences.

I believe the unborn has rights too, the reason why I say that is in 38 states one can be charged with double homicide if they kill a pregnant woman past a certain trimester , eg in the Democratic People's republic of California one would be charged with double homicide but in Hawaii you wouldn't.

Religion plays a part in this, Christianity says the soul starts at conception, and Islam depending on if your sunni or shiite says its either 90 days or 120 or 180 days after conception.

While I don't agree with roe v wade, I understand why it exists, too many backroom clinics endangering lives of the mothers is one.

While many people believe that the woman should not abort and give up the child for adoption, the problem starts with the government agencies incharge of the adoption, when you have bureaucrats who are trained at not seeing the big picture and always make a mess of things.

Look at the mess of the healthcare system today, do you really want the government bureaucrats incharge of adoptions?

anyways my two cents.

A constant push to promote greed and narcissism?
You need to explain this.

As in for politics, if you look back at your country's history you will see politics has always divided people including families, why do you think the Republican party was created ?

The new Republicans had a falling out with the "whig" party over a number of issues one of them slavery.

Why do you think the Democrat Party was created out of the ashes of the Democratic Republican party? again over issues.

George Washington wasn't affiliated with any party

John Adams was a federalist

Politics has always played a role.

I love politics but that is me.

I do have to correct you on capitalism, although it is a political ideology there has never been a capitalist political party at least not on the federal level.

most parties in democratic societies are either Left to center or right to center.

And you have those with left of the left to center ( usually some type of socialist,or marxist-leninist government, labour parties, green parties , and if you have parties that lean right of the right to center they are usually smaller parties, movements like the Tea party, libertarian parties and such.

and then you have the extremest and we all know how dangerous they are.
